Good luck, NC.
Matt- hope you are feeling well! LL- eh, it is like that Kooba Lena bag. You can always sell it at a decent price and I think it would go, but you may be stuck w/ it for a few months b/c of all of the sample sales. The Devote is the one bag I like from RM, but her quality seems to be lacking from what I read a lot. I don't think there is an H & M in my area either. Maybe there is. I don't know. I don't like clothes really, so I go to like two stores to shop or online. I'm not a clothes person at all. |

^ okay so far! I slept in, which was needed and installed a new light so far, plus cleaned up the area a bit. I have to get a new paint brush for the touch up b/t the ceiling and the wall b/c mine is making a mess (too old and abused). I tried last night w/ it and it was awful. So, I can get the last bit of the painting done and take out the toilet today.
I'll paint behind the toilet once removed. So, a bit more painting and cleaning up the floor, then I'll be ready to tile tomorrow! So, I'll run to the store, get a new brush and a wax ring for the toilet and grab lunch, then finish up my stuff before my mom comes tonight. I also have to sweep and do a surface cleaning too b/c she is coming over to help. |

^ Will do! I'll take some once the painting is done, before the tile is down and then I'll do final shots Sunday (b/c I am SO hoping tiling goes well and we can get it all done and do the vanity Sunday). I am so sick of all the dirt, dust and walking across the house to use the bathroom.
Glad you are feeling good today! |

Hi, everyone!
LL, that is too funny, er, I mean bad... too bad about the SS incident last night! It might make a good knock around bag for you? Or gift for a friend? I purchased a periwinkle paper and plastic wallet myself! I've wanted something in periwinkle but didn't want to pay a huge price so this will be great! I'm buying new accessories to throw in my lovely orange hold me when it arrives! I'm a sick woman! Elizat, I am so impressed by your skills! Can't wait to see pics! |

I am tempted by the MAC as I want a small messenger style bag, and it seems to convert into a shoulder bag too which is really great, but the leather tabs seem flimsy and those quality issues bother me.
H&M is definitely a notch above target , since they are a clothing and accessory store, target has a food section too, I can't think of a direct american equivalent, but I guess somewhat like gap but forever 21 style, more european designs not really sporty, there are tons of stores in europe but fewer here some of their basics are pretty decent, I was living in europe when the karl lagerfeld collaboration happened and it was mayhem, the entire collection was gone within an hour |

yay!! I bought a paper plastic at the Dc sample sale, and I am loving it!! I was turned off when I realized it was rather large but it wasn't so big in person and totally flat. I got mine in black to go with everything. It's cute and clever, flat, and works well. And, I think it will be great in the very pretty periwinkle!!! That's much better than going out and blowing $350 on a full size periwinkle bag then feeling remorseful. You will definitely get some use out of the paper plastic, TL!
ETA: there was a fantastic array of Nikki colors! The tangerine was tempting but not interested since I am now committed to my orange hold me, yay! And the rose was tempting, but honestly, I spent too much at the DC sale, so it's really not POSSIBLE to buy any more even if I really wanted something. |

Re: doubling up the straps to convert into a shoulder bag, though, there are a number of different types of chains and clasps, and not all are convertible. I have no idea which MACs might have adjustable straps vs non-adjustable straps, but I'd highly recommend asking and seeing if you can find out first! Otherwise, if you're really looking to make the strap adjustable, it might not be a good idea to buy them sight-unseen online, since there's quite a bit of variation with the straps across colours. The safe bets are the ones with neon trims, I think, although fitting the chain through the D-ring requires a bit of contortion with the clasp. (There's a thread that shows how to fit that type of kite clasp through the D-ring, though!) (Yeah, buying an RM can be a bit of a headache, and the potential QC issues don't help either! )
