Decided to eliminate one PITA from my life and unlisted a Bonanzle item that was getting me tons of emails, no sale, and lots of frustration. Dumped it at the consignment shop and will take the 5 or 10 dollars over the constant badgering to drop the price (which was already less than half on a brand new item.) Baby steps in taking care of myself.

OH. MY. WTF. Cousin sent an email that was atrocious. I had asking about something SHE told me about aunts care and got back a NASTY note "no one is doing anything that isn't necessary." WTF? I asked what they were doing about aunt's care and medications. My bad. Seems offering my information (three years of names, contacts, medications, and local care facilities) and I'm accusing them of mistreating my aunt? That's how she took it.

Just folding my tent and going home. Every effort to share informations and try to support rebuffed. I'm really not a b8tch, but apparently I am?

Ugh I am sorry NC. You don't need that kind of ridiculousness with all the awfulness you have been through lately. WTG on taking care of yourself - you need some TLC.

No Cute, you apparently struck a nerve. I'm sorry that happened to you. But, I'm sure the cousins are going through a lot, too, I imagine? They must have their own demons and problems to deal with. Hopefully all you have to do is just take the high road and reiterate that you are just asking and offering any help you can and that you're sure they are doing everything. When people are upset and going through stuff, I imagine their "filters" can be a little off and they can take things the totally wrong way. Or perhaps they are feeling guilty or something and take things as criticism too quickly!

My 'friend' is hurting my kids. First her little dd couldn't come over today which was fine as they played together yesterday and another little friend came over today. Now my teenage dd who is best friends with her teenage dd (same one who likes my older ds) is upset and crying because my 'friend' has come up with every excuse in the book to keep them from doing anything together. So, this person is punishing my whole family because of her own insecurities and anger. She's like a bucking, snorting horse in the middle of the arena who doesn't care who she hurts while pitching her fit. Well, my dd just got hit (figuritively, not literally) and it pissed me off. I get so mad at that kind of crap that I just want to withdrawal completely from people. So, I'm hurt, I'm pissed, I'm stressed, I'm wanting to find a hole and crawl into it. And cuss my head off. Today I am Debbie downer.

TL, I'm sorry.

Euridice, I'm guessing I struck a nerve as the "help" uncle describes is pathetic and the cousin who sent the message never saw Mom the six months, literally, and Mom was, again literally, a two minute walk up the hill.

I'm sticking with talking to Uncle and emailing him. He appreciates the supports and efforts. He mentioned some needs, I offered some equipment. He also shared people avoid them now...been there, and seeing it in his situation. So sad.

Well, that's a great idea to just stick with the uncle. He sounds more human!! Who knows why people act the way they do!

^^People are terrified of brain disease and like to pretend things aren't so bad or that others are enough help. I'll just stop trying to give uncle a break on emails and bug him in email and on phone.

Well, it's one thing to be ticked off for yourself, but when you see your own kids hurt, watch out!! I'm not a mother (except for three precious cats) but I do know how that works. Wow, so more than one kid in your household seems to be affected!! Do you think it will blow over and your teenage DD will get to hang out with her friend once more?

ETA: what about instant messaging and stuff like that? Or they can get together with a mutual friend?

That whole thing with your friend just stinks, TL. I'm so sorry. Hurting the kids is so uncalled for and a call to arms in my book. Ugh.

Anyone one have any experience with Beirn bags?

I'm seriously considering this bag... but never purchased thier bags before or had snakeskin in a bag this large.

http://www.bluefly.com/Beirn-orange-...803/detail.fly

With the price and return policy....I'm soooo tempted

Hopefully LL will weigh in.....
