I'm sorry..LL..I truly am. I won't say too much more other than, I don't understand the entire modus operandi when it comes to customers, quality, pricing or products, or anything else about them at this point, especially after your post above..and the CS/QC thread over there has not been used since it began to morph into a chat/enabling thread on 6/16. To be honest this point if I were in your shoes, I couldn't look at or order another one, especially directly. In my shoes, I haven't and I won't. |

![]() Yeah, 70 is nice but it is pouring down rain now! The good news is it waters my garden which means I don't have to. The bad news is it waters the weeds too that seem to grow faster than my plants do! Grrr! Darn how I wish Ignes would make a mini make up bag. The small is just too big for my needs. I really can't justify a set to travel either as I don't travel enough and I have cases that satisfy those needs. Maybe if I keep holding out though, they'll do sunglass and eyeglass cases and then I'll be happy! And in the mean time, I do love those little pouches! I may need a rainbow of them just to play with!

Hi Kuwa! Hope all is well- nice to see you around!
LL- that is not okay in any sense! That is not slight- that is a big jump. I am sorry you aren't happy with the response you received. You can PM if you want too... GB- I'm sorry today is not a good day for you. ![]() E- hope the outside work went well! It is hot as hell here- 95 or something w/ humidity. Terrible, really. Last night it was so humid you could see the water hanging in the air- and it was not raining or anything like that! We pretty much finished up. They have gone home and I have to clean up the mess, grout and seal. I am exhausted and I know they were as well. It turned out really great, just a few things to address another day. I suck at painting b/t the ceiling and wall and my dad does that well, so he will touch that up another weekend for me. I can do it, but it is so hard for me to be neat w/ it. They make tools for it, so maybe I'll look into that so he doesn't have to come work again. We didn't do all that much for Father's Day- worked, had a pickup lunch of fried chicken and coleslaw- plus I bought a cake for him b/c I didn't have time to make one. He didn't like the Topsy Turvy tomato plant things- upside down tomato plants- he asked me WTH he was supposed to do with those? Eh, it was like $10- I'm sorry he didn't like it, but the response made me laugh!

Okay, pretty much done. I have to seal the tile after grout cures, so 48 hours. I'll take pictures once the tile has been sealed- it is an enhancing sealer and will make them brighter and shiny too.
This has been a tremendous amount of work, so if you hate it, please, I beg you, don't say anything! I have been working non stop all weekend with my wonderful parents and they are just amazing, as well as very talented. So, if you don't like it, please don't say so b/c this is really near and dear to my heart. Here goes: BEFORE: Formica vanity and counter, basic sink and faucet, standard medicine cabinet, linoleum flooring, bar lighting, etc.: ![]() ![]() AFTER: Slate floor (to be sealed still), furniture style vanity w/ granite top, new retro looking faucet, new lighting, slate molding instead of standard wood, new paint, new towel bars, new mirror, medicine cabinet, etc. New everything except layout and toilet, basically. The paint is a greenish gray and doesn't show well w/ flash. When I take photos of the sealed tile, I'll try to capture the paint better. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have to go clean up now. I've been working since 9 and am covered in grout, dirt, etc. |

In regard to the purple BE leather. It is very pretty and smells yummy as all BE leathers do however, I must not have had as good of a quality in leather as sandy because I disagree with the hardy patent leather comment. I think the glossies are their least hardy leathers. To me they are delicate and need to be babied more. I have three different glossies and that was the case for all of them. I have a fuschia, petrol, and the purple.
Don't wear the purple out in any sort of rain! I always double spray protect all my bags and take vigilance, but it was the first time I've had a bag bleed on me. I never pressed it on the BE forum because I didn't think it was a good idea lol Anyway I never plan to be out in rain and it wasn't even heavy rain, just a dash to my car and there are a few faded pinkish, purple, white splotches on my bag. I conditioned it a lot so it is a bit better, but I'd just be really careful. Maybe it is the dye? Anyway, just thought I'd mention it. |

Oh my! This purple is super glossy. Is yours the aubergine? Mine does look to have a thicker finish. I got it on Bonanzle so it may be an older version of the leather. I know that there are different versions of the dark grey and tan that are drastically different in thickness and hardiness. I had a petrol TME midi previously and definitely found it too delicate for my liking. I do hope this holds up better. I will try to avoid the rain!

El, you have done a fantastic job!
That vanity is so beautiful, and the fact that it doesn't touch the walls like the old one did makes the space look bigger. Job well done woman! |

Eli - what did you do for the window sill? (sp???) It looks like Carerra marble. Sorry I cannot spell!
The smaller vanity actually makes the bathroom look larger! |

Gorgeous new bathroom, elizat! IA, very classy and elegant.
lionlaw, sorry to hear the response wasn't satisfactory... I hope you're able to get a better resolution than that, because no way is that price increase remotely within the realm of "a little more"! |

I just had to poke my head in here and say I love the bathroom, elizat! I must admit to being partial to your slate tile as it is very, very similar to the slate in my entryway.
I think you made a fantastic choice with the vanity too. We are still in the decision-making process for our bathroom. After several attempts at painting different colors in there we seem to have come back to not knowing what to do. You and your parents did a good job setting the tile. Lionlaw, how can they say you have a deal if there was no "meeting of the minds"? They should be required to iron out the costs and everything else before holding anyone to the deal, at least that is what I think. I have not purchased from them and never will after seeing their dirty sales tactics and other issues. I don't know how a company can stay in business for very long forcing sales of custom items that are not what the customer requested. |
