Hi gals,
Do you think it's a good idea for Ignes to expand the shape, color of the hardware that is currently offered? I recently ordered the Ormala and the Gaby but also wanted the Francis but since the hardware and shape was so similar to Ormala, I decided to sleep on the idea. I think I definitely would have ordered the Francis if the hardware connecting the handle, and the pocket was different from the Ormala... What are your thoughts? |

Really great question bagaddict4life!!! Ignes will be adding gunmetal hardware later this fall, I think. Other than another color, I'm not sure about other shapes. When you communicate with Ignacio, please share your thoughts with him and see what he has to say. I think they use interchangeable hardware to save on production costs, although I have never discussed this with Ignacio. Personally, I focus much more on my leather choices than hardware choices. To my eye, the leather I choose really defines the bag more so than the hardware; although, if there were other hardware choices, this would be pretty cool as well.

I do agree that quality of the leather is top of the list important, which I will have to wait and see... my first 2 Ignes should be arriving mid Oct. Reading the comments here, I'm sure it is of the highest quality but was thinking that it could be even better if we had more options on the hardware. Perhaps different shape, different enamel colored buckles, etc. I will discuss with Ignacio. Although, with more options the harder to decide, it took me almost a month to finally decide on the color, leather combination of my 2 bags...

I asked Ignacio about a soft silver/gold hybrid hardware like a lot of brands are using these days, and he said that he'd look into it! In his email, he said that he has recently hired a person to research trends and plan products, and she is on it. This is sooo cool how Ignes listens to our suggestions!

Hardware catches my eye, too. But I have so few bags that several Ignes with the same hardware isn't an issue, though I can see enjoying more options and understand why those options are limited given the bazillion leather options. Hmmm...curious how things will develop.

I love the Ignes hardware! I can't wait to see the gunmetal, and that's so cool that he has someone on board to research this hybrid thing, that sounds intriguing!

I can't wait for the gunmetal HW. I am waiting for it so Ignacio can make my Veronica
. Is it just me, or do you wish the drooling smiley was cuter like the rest?

The gunmetal will be amazing.
And yes, the drooling emoticon is rather creepy. |

Gunmetal would be at the top of my list for hardware choices. I'm curious about a hybrid, sounds interesting. But gunmetal would still be first.
Zuzu, you crack me up. The drooling smilie looks like it got stabbed in the back! |

Would the hybrid get a carpool sticker in California?
