Just got an email from Ignacio regarding the returns- 1. they will either schedule a pick-up or 2. send me a Fedex label and location for me to drop off the box. I opted for the 1st choice, so just need to wait for Ignacio to send me the Fedex label to print out on Monday. FINALLY!

I am returning the midi Sofia. Not sure what I am going to do... a refund or another bag. Still undecided... I think I am still too 'shocked' at the condition of this bag, to want another one...

Thank goodness your resolution is finally underway! Seemed like it took a long time, but it will absolutely work out in the end. Also glad that you are getting the service and apology you have been waiting on. Sometimes that's important to have in order to move forward. I say this because I have an ongoing situation with an online website that still hasn't resolved itself, so you have my sympathies there!
As previously asked, are you returning the bags for a full refund? Or having a repair/replacement done? Just read, how great is it that Ignacio is going to arrange for a pick-up. One less thing to have to worry about. ![]() ETA: just read about the replacement! yay |

e_n_i_a_l_e, I am so glad you heard from Ignacio. I was quite disappointed that you did not hear from him sooner ~ so I contacted him to voice my concern and discover why. He replied that he responded to the easy emails first to get them out of the way (as his incoming emails continue to mount) and reserved those that required more thought and info from his production team ~ which does make sense to me.
I informed him that I do not know the issues with your problematic bags, although I much prefer longer production times with stellar quality ~ rather than risk any errors by rushing production. He replied that they take these specific problems with your bags pretty seriously ~ and, in fact, laid off a person because of these very problems. Above said, please know that Ignacio is addressing/resolving this matter at multiple levels. Thanks for keeping us posted!!! |

Hi e_n_i_a_l_e! Firstly, I'm so happy that Ignacio has finally acknowledged your concerns, after all this time. There's no excuse for complacency, as it seems the emphasis has been on producing bag/promos, rather than addressing important customer issues. It can seem somewhat frustrating to hear that he contacted you on the 1st October, yet there was a free key-ring or pouch promotion posted on 24th September!! Anyway, I hope this has been resolved to your SATISFACTION, and thanks for the update!

Elaine, hi. I'm glad you heard back and have a resolution. I'm still sorry for the issues happening at all, and am glad to hear from dsrk that changes were made. Laying off an employee is pretty serious and means Ignacio does take customer concerns seriously.

This is a clear, obvious, and transparent judgement here, from someone who has never ordered an Ignes bag ~ no less, and has never seen its quality first hand.
Who said anything about complacency? And, what has happened here is not a black and white issue, while this poster clearly dichotomizes this situation without having experienced an Ignes order first hand, seen/felt its quality first hand, or viewed images of what has been described by Elaine. This poster is attempting to dichotomize that Ignes either ignores its customer concerns, or, has promos. Interestingly enough, the same could be said about any brand. And, vendors/suppliers can produce quality, address QC issues, and offer promos ~ simultaneously. Most things are not dichotomous...usually, a situation is multi-faceted ~ it is not an either/or thing. This quality control issue and timing here is multi-faceted. Those familiar with Ignes and its quality know this first hand. Myself and others here on tPF have direct first-hand experience with a brand that arrived to us with multiple quality control issues. This brand also continued to offer promos while our quality concerns remained unresolved. And, this brand did not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds as Ignes does. And, to my knowledge, this brand also did not layoff anyone who produced shoddy craftsmanship. Ignes celebrated our new subforum with a keyring/pouch promo which was approved by both Megs and Vlad first. In doing so, I continued to receive stellar quality bags, as have others, although Elaine unfortunately did not ~ which is being addressed/resolved with her directly as well as internally at Ignes. What this poster implies is that this brand cannot take care of its customer/quality concerns unless it foregoes its latest promo, which was temporary and already ended. To my knowledge, this person does not work there, has never seen the production first hand, has never received a problematic product from Ignes, yet, has only posted in our new Ignes sub-forum to focus on this issue with Elaine's bags. This is a case of someone capitalizing upon Elaine's disappointment and displeasure, of which Elaine is surely entitled to. This is a case of someone exploiting this situation to promote her own agenda ~ which strikes me of nothing less than provocative. I do believe one must question the motivation here. My suggestion: :dftt: Mods, I apologize in advance if I have crossed any lines here. I believe I have not. If I have, please feel free to edit my post accordingly. Thank you! Also, I have added this poster to my IGNORE list, so I will not be reading anything further from this individual. |

First of all, please refer to all my previous posts in this thread which I continuesly emphaisis that I have no desire to cause any unease here because my desire of writing honestly about my experience, which I feel all of us deserve to know the situation and the resolutions to it, which I have updated accordingly.
1. reason I have not post photo of the faults yet- I want Ignes to be dealing with them already before I cause any unnecessary concerns. (also, SOMEONE PLEASE TEACHE ME HOW to make the url link work!) 2. I know what quality bags are. I own lots bags from, expensive designer bags to the unknow little gems I find in London or during my travels. I have been a bag addict many years, but I am going to blame on a gene that has been passed down from my mom/grandma. What I have received, was not a quality bag even for its price range. (I have been gentle on the Chiara already but even that is not my average standard! The other two were just worse and I got to have something to carry already after 2 months). 4. I have been very disappointed, by the bags themselves, and by the way how the situation was dealt- the wait, come on, the bags are still with me after more than 2 weeks of reporting faults. I feel, it should not have been what is a convenient time for Ignes to get back to me, but what is the best for me? After reading posts on here for months, only hearing good things, and even read Ignes being compared to high-end brands. I am sure you can understand how I feel to receive flawed Ignes ![]() I have been keeping it positive with all my posts but that does not deny that what I have gone through was not a bad experience with Ignes. I shop very frequently online for years now and honestly, this has been truly the worst I have ever experienced. The quality control AND waiting time to even just know what to do with returns took 2 weeks. AND like I stated, it is upsetting they did not even apology first, but gave me a lot of excuses. Maybe I am a bit spoiled by the CS I have been getting here in Europe but Ignes is definitely not on top of my list. This is not to disregard that they are trying to do something about it now, but please note, there were the problems to start with to make them realise the changes were needed. I am surprise that dsrk contacted Ignacio about MY problems.... If you girls wish, I can post my emails with Ignacio, now the issues are been taken cared of. I have been more than generous, polite and patient with him. And I have no problems being trasparent. It is understandable that since most girls here have received quality bags that it is difficult to understand my experience. I have posted a few time to ask for directions to post photos. - I have uploaded them all on photobucket since that was suggested but still have trouble. None of you have seen the photos yet, and please do not judge base on your own experience. Ignacio had seem them, and that prompted a long internal meeting with changes being done this week. Sounds serious? I am just glad, hopefully, none of us have to go through this again, including Ignacio. AFTER you have seen the photos, share what your thoughts. Ignes forum has been more than a welcoming commmunity and it help me through a lot of sleeless nights. But honesly, I kept on feeling that any negative issues have to be brought out so carefully. Lionnlaw's bag has been brought back to Uruquay AFTER I have sent Ignacio about that issues and photos. Ignacio took it with him, had it with him for days and did not see any problems? I feel they were not awared of alot of things going on. They do not make bags just for us tpf girls who post on the forum, and I do hope I was one unlucky one but, there could have been a lot more that did not report or speak their mind and we should encourage that, instead of doing the opposite. "Please understand that my intention was to give you a honest review that hopefully all those issues can be stopped at an early stage and just genuinely believe Ignes has so much potentials to offer great bags that should not be hindered by problems that can be controlled." This is what I wrote to Ignacio, and that is the reason I post on here too. After Ignacio told me that they are making changes, I kept my rest of the order and have 3 more bags to come, those I paid for 2 months ago and hoping to receive in 4 weeks? Here comes the waiting time again! ![]() Finally, DSRK- please do not feel I or even Tash were attacking Ignes. I think we are just getting to know the brand together here. I think what Tash was trying to say is, if they have not got the time/resources to focus on serious issues with the bags but have time for little promos it can be potentially upsetting to the customer with flawed bags- it did not really bug me, but someone else might feel that way and I can totally understand. Your posts have very big impacts on here as you have always been so inspiring with your bag designs and probaly have the longest time dealing with Ignes, not to mention your Ignes collections at home is Of course your opinions are treasured. But maybe make some rooms for us that might have doubts and concerns along the way? We would need your help, that is how I started too-with your help and am very grateful! Please, I have no desire to cause any problems on the forum and let's keep it friendly despite being honest. Really appreciate all of your supports in helping me going through this ' together ' here. I feel very bad that things are like this at this thread now... |

^^^ Eniale-- You have every RIGHT to post about your experience. NO ONE should judge or condemn you for posting the truth. I have read comments posted within the last couple of days on here against people who dare to voice impatience or dissatisfaction with IGNES and that is NOT acceptable to me. This is a public free speech forum and anyone can post what they want.
This is not high school. We don't need hall monitors or people getting involved in other's private business. There are tons of threads on the greatness of Ignes. I don't see why a handfull of posts about problems is a cause for concern. Every manufacturer has issues. If we can't discuss them, then sign me out because I am not going to participate in a blatant hype machine. I hope we can all be adults here and allow everyone's point of view to be heard. It is just purses people. BTW, for photobucket-- Underneath each image is a box that says IMG CODE. If you click on that box (IMG CODE) it should highlight in yellow. If not, right click there and go to copy, once copied, you can paste the image code in a message on TPF and the image should appear. Hope that helps. - |

Hi Elaine,
I'm am very glad that you shared what happened to your bags. Honesty is exactly what everyone needs. Exactly. And I agree that things could have been handled faster, but they are finally handled, so that is a good thing. I don't have an Ignes in hand, just the word of those on this subforum who do and say they got high quality bags. It sucks that you didn't. The word of those with high end collections and who have high regard for Ignes quality is why I was able to invest hundreds of dollars (a ton for me) sight unseen. I hope everything works out with your order. You have been incredibly kind, positive, and polite in all your posts even though you are rightfully very upset. I'd be a disaster in your situation. I think you rock! |

Elaine, I think many of us appreciate your honesty. I have not yet received my bags so I cannot comment on the quality. Based upon the forum, it appears you had a very different experience than many of the girls here. Nevertheless, your experience is what it is--and it is very disappointing. As a consumer, I appreciate your honesty as to your experience.

I was not able to read the entire thread, but I can say this much: The attacking has to stop. Everyone is entitled to share an experience, good or bad. You know what, bad things happen to good companies. Bags have flaws. It has happened to me with many companies too. But we can not shoot someone down from sharing it.
I really dislike the "do not feed the troll" smiley, because it is used improperly often. If you can't play nice, stay out of the threads. Thanks. |

Firstly, please refrain from insulting me and calling me a troll!! LOL!! My post has been completely twisted out of context, yet again and sorry to see the OP's thread turn into a personal attack on me, AND continued resentment towards another brand!! It's been dealt with, get over it and MOVE ON!!! For the benefit of No Cute, I fail to see how responding to QC issues is forbidden, afterall this forum is for EVERYONE. No-one has the right to determine who can or cannot post on here. If you look back, you would actually see that I WAS a frequent poster on the Ignes threads, I just stopped posting due to the blatant disrespect shown by a certain member. In addition it is very important to hear both sides of Ignes' quality and customer services, and the concerns raised by both e_n_i_a_l_e and lionlaw, have proved most invaluable, in order to make informed decisions....and should not be subject to attacks, so thank you both!
