Hi all,

Thank you for the sweet words! Yes, I love the Chiara very much!

Just a quick note to clarify- the scratches on the Chiara are not my concerns but just things I would like to share. Those are minor scratches which I agree with you, it probably will come off with some leather conditioner. I am definitely keeping the Chiara that is why I show the photos.

IMO, the damage during the shipping did not cause the scratches... I did consider that though. But once I have shown you the other photos you'll know what I am on about, but like I said, I would like to wait for Ignacio to have the chance to see them first and able to make a response first.

The bags came in dust bags and then wrapped around in the Ignes paper, they were securely tied together. Nothing other than the box was damaged, not the paper, not the dust bag and I am pretty sure not the bags either.

The reasons for me to report all details are- I still have 3 more bags to come soon, I would like to remain a customer since I do love how you can pick the leathers, which is very high quality, the CS... too many to list and just genuinely think this is a positive thing to report/share the negatives-hopefully they can improve and we can know the worst to expect, since I felt I had way too high of expectation base on all/and only positive feedbacks.

At the moment, I am honestly not happy with the quality control and some little details. I caught myself thinking, oh this is nothing, oh you are being picky to talk myself out of it. But when I realised, I did not even want to see my midi Sofia (which I love the leather and the lilac suede so much) and my little sister politely pointed out that I have left that bag in the dust bag and in the box for 2 days in her room... I know I have to return it.

Will keep you updated.

Elaine

Thanks so much for the great pics., I love your Chiara!

I'm considering the style if one of the wine leathers myself and would love to see a modeling pic. to get better perspective on size.

Your Chiara is lovely! And definitely smaller than I imagined. I hope you get everything resolved with your other bags.

The Chiara is beautiful!

The issues about scratches and cut marks really concerns me. I have 2 bags on the way as well, one of which is a gift for my mother. I would hate to have to return them.

I am sure you can get a refund if you want but it is still very disappointing after waiting so much time to have a less than satisfactory bag.

Hi: Not diminishing what happened to eniale's bags, but I wouldn't be too concerned yet since several of us have received packages and this is the first time I have heard anything about cuts/scratches. Maybe it is just an aberration? The box certainly is.

DSRK and I in total have received over twenty bags and they have all been perfect. Others have not had problems either. I am being hopefully optimisitc that my remaining bags on order will arrive in good condition.

EDITED to add: I now see newbaglover's silvery-blue sofia had scratches on it too. Is it not enough packaging overseas to Europe? Or did people in the US get scratched bags and just not complain? I hope everyone who receives scratched bags lets Ignacio know so this can be worked out.

Eniale's box looked kinda damaged, but newbaglover's didn't. Maybe there are some new Ignes employees that are being less than careful handling the bags?? I'd hate to think that.....

Hi all,

I do feel I am the only unlucky one and have absolutely no desire to cause problems/unease at the Ignes forum. Just felt that others should know about this, and should feel they can share this if they do come across with negative issues.

But seriously, my concerns on the bags are not caused by the damage on the box, like the description I put along with the photos of the box, NOTHING but the box itself was damaged.

I have emailed Ignacio and sent him photos of the mini Ormala and the midi Sofia. Will post public photos once he replies. I will let the photos do the talking. Till then.

Elaine

Please don't feel any unease, we need to be able to discuss the good and the bad.

I only mentioned the box because it looked beat all to heck and opened.

BUT it doesn't look like it is a box concern since newbaglover also has reported today scratches on her bags as well. She is keeping them since scractches do not bother her, but they bug some of us (like me) so Ignacio should know if product is going out with scratches.

ITA. I feel the same way about scratches as you do, so I triple-checked my bag when it arrived last Friday. I do have to wonder if something's going on with Ignes's European shipper.

In any event, I hope Elaine gets the situation resolved to her complete satisfaction. Those bags are so pretty!

e_n_i_a_l_e, I am very sorry to hear your bags did not arrive in stellar condition.

I have received 17 bags ~ none of which have encountered any scratches or cuts from packing or damage in transit. Keep in mind that all my bags are shipped directly to me from Uruguay and packed to withstand just about anything and everything.

I know Ignes uses a logistics company in London to ship bags and I wonder if yours were packed and shipped by them. I can tell you right now that I would not be happy to receive new bags with scratches.

I am glad you emailed Ignacio photos...he really needs to be aware of this since your bags were not shipped directly from him to you. If the logistics company is the culprit here, Ignacio needs to know so he may take whatever steps necessary to correct this immediately.

The boxes that arrive to me in the USA are very sturdy and can withstand a lot of abuse, although they only take a couple days to arrive via air, so they're not exposed to abuses typical of ground service.

If you are not happy with your bags, definitely return them for a full refund or exchange. I hope you and Ignacio get to the bottom of the problems here so they can be remedied.

Also, I know what it is like to be the unlucky one with a particular brand. The difference here is that the brand owner, Ignacio, will happily issue you a full refund and have your bags picked up for return. This was not the case in my situation.

Did you get the problem sorted yet? I carefully looked at my bags as well when they arrived and they had no scratches. I hate imperfections when I buy a new bag. Whenever something is wrong, I make sure to be vocal about it. Although I love BE's styles, I didn't like the scuff marks that came along with them for their high price. And then to find them on their semi annual sale or on ebay for a steal so I've stopped buying them. I know Ignacio will make it right by your with a return though :) He is the only company I know that will take back customized bags and pay for the return shipping. I was wondering what he does with returns?

I've wondered that, too! Maybe he gives them to people in need, or his employees or something?

I actually asked Ignacio this ~ they sell them in London at a sample sale for a steal.
