Thank you for the trial run and report back! Good to know. Please let us know Maria's response. I'm seriously considering a Luisa if these issues can be resolved!

Thanks for the additional report! Hmm, that bit about the side panel being wider at the top than at the bottom is interesting... It's a bit of a strange choice, particularly if that's really the reason why the side flap keeps popping out like that.

Please do let us know what Maria says! The Luisa's a cute design, so I hope they're able to iron out these kinks. Your Luisa definitely is such a pretty combination!

I'm very happy to report that Maria has already responded to my email to her! Here is her response:

"Thank you very much for your email, feedback and more than anything, kind suggestions. Your email was wonderful to receive since you mention changes in a constructive, positive way whilst also mentioning what you loved about the bag.

As you know it’s a new bag, when we created the sample I noticed the lopsidedness and we worked on it (the first sample had the hardware placed differently) thinking it had been solved; all in all, you shouldn’t have had this problem. We are always open to feedback from customers, especially when it’s a new design and I do apologize for this.

As for the end side of the bags, this didn’t happen in the sample design and I didn’t realize this, I think it was due to the leather we first used and the one on your bag. I am also contacting another client who ordered the Luisa (not from tPF) to see if she had the same situation.

I am discussing this with my designer and after that our production team, and will come back as soon as possible with what we come up with. Of course, we would be happy to create your bag again if you are satisfied with the proposed solution.

I will come back to you!

Kindest regards,
Maria"

I'm so impressed with Ignes' customer service. What other small designers in this forum are so responsive?

I'll report back when I hear more.

Have to admit that they have got the CS down.

They must be just lovely people (Ignacio & Maria) in person.

Euridice: No update from me. Maria said she would let me know how they were handling any changes, but haven't heard anything yet.

Maria is so considerate. She had offered to recreate the bag for me, but I declined. So when I ordered my mini-Gaby, she gave me suede lining gratis!

Why not fire off an email to Maria and see if they've uncovered a workaround for this?

And I am CRAZY about the idea of a GIB Luisa!!! Maybe my leather combos were too unstructured or soft?

Thanks, I wanted to check with you first but I am emailing Maria of my firm intention to order the Luisa in GIB and am asking her about this. I hope the GIB is soft enough to do the folds of leather where it has that soft pleating, but firm enough not to do what your Luisa was doin'---I'll let you know what she says.

Free suede, that is awesome!! I remember when I could get free suede....sigh, so divine.

I have a Luisa update, fresh off chat w Maria! We were discussing it because I had originally ordered a Luisa (Black/Black Ostrich ) that had to be put on hold due to my layoff. I definitively canceled it today

Here is what she had to say:

After searching with no luck for another hardware that would work for this style without a full design change, we thought the best solution would be to have the strap from side to side. The middle part of the sides will also have a pleat so it doesn’t stick out. I am creating a Luisa with this new style so should have pics soon. (The attachment) one would be on the right hand side of the zipper and on the other side on the left, yet hopefully I will try it out "live" soon

I was just coming here to relay the same thing, since I want this for the GIB. What does everyone think of how they are changing the bag???

Sillykitty, enjoy the bags you have already, and before you know it, you'll be able to get that Luisa (or whatever else) in the black with black ostrich!! I just know it, hang in there.

I'm not understanding the strap change. I guess I'll have to see it.

The side change sounds exactly what I think it needs.
