I haven't ordered yet, but was starting to look elsewhere after seeing issue after issue pop up. Seeing them acknowledge they have problems and are trying to correct them makes me feel better about placing an order with them, as soon as the leather I want is back in stock.

Great to see this letter!! I have not had any issues with my Ignes bags, but nevertheless this letter makes me appreciate Maria, Ignacio and their team even more.

And I think that they are wise not to lurk on the subforum...having a designer/their assistants constantly on TPF can be blessing but also a curse, depending on how it's handled...and the lines are very fine.

I guess this means my Ostrich Gaby is going to be one of a kind. I've still never carried it. I'd better get it out of the closet. I am just not loving the South American ostrich, but the colours are nice.

What color did you get, horsetrader? I can't remember.

If I recall it was the light honey cognac color. Given my recent yellow mini-o situation, I can see why you may not be happy with it.

I think it's great that they have taken accountability of the issues that have been raised in this forum but I hope that they have also taken the step of personally acknowledging each customer that has been affected and fixing the issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.

I think it's a great idea to limit the modifications and leathers as long as it means better quality bags in the long run. I am happy to forego the special paper. I agree that this should be an option that should be available for a fee. As long as the bag is packaged appropriately during transit, I will be satisfied. I think they're very generous with their returns policy, giving free shipping and waiving customs fees too. I would understand if they decide to stop doing so.

I think that what I'm trying to say is that I'd be happy to pay as long as the bags themselves are beautiful and well-made.

I'll miss the paper, I admit. But I agree it's more socially responsible to not include packing materials that are not necessary for bag safety.

I recycled the special paper the other day. I used it to wrap a birthday present. I even used the matching brown ties!
