Your bag is gorgeous! I hope you enjoy it! What a guy! I think any guy who would even THINK about going to bag trends is a keeper! You really scored! Two great bags--one great guy!

well, you have to provide job security for your delivery guys! Or, maybe you went to the store.....

[quote=baghag411;7946476]I'll keep my eye out as well for this bag for ya!

I was a bad girl tonight. . . having to wait so long for instant gratification (I just couldn't contain myself any longer) I bought a cheap (not even pleather!) bag from H&M!!! I couldn't help it. I needed something new to play with

Me too! Besides handbags, I have issues with makeup, skin care, hair products, jewelry/watches, and pet supplies. The UPS, DHL, FEDEX Express and FEDEX Home guys know me by name and just sort of laugh when they roll up. My Fedex guy even has my cell phone so he can give me the heads up so I can meet him to pick up signature required packages. I am an online ho.

Everytime I see the trailer for confessions of a shopaholic, I just think come to momma.

haha, thanks. I think so too. He's pretty great. Last hanukkah he got me a kate spade clutch that I had been lusting after (but he convinced me I shouldn't spend the money...), and my birthday's in about two weeks, so I'm guessing there's another purse in my near future.

OMG!! LOL!!! They just don't get it! They must curse us now since the start of online shopping. I now mess with them when they deliver... I tell them "I will probably open it up and be back at UPS to return it this afternoon." It's sort of like "you just delivered this to me for no reason." My last laugh!

Although I did feel bad for the cute FedEx guy who is sooo shy. He got the nerve to ask me one day if my box from Zappos were shoes, and when I told him that Zappos now sells purses, he hung his head as if to say "oh no. . ."

Hi ladies! I have pages and pages to catch up on since I have been avoiding TPF to get a huge paper/presentation done, but I just wanted to pop in for a minute and say how EXCITED I am that we are actually getting our own subforum!

Now for some MUCH needed sleep....

I've gotten several PMs about this leather, and it's difficult for me to describe what it feels like. You can kinda imagine what it might be like by looking at these shots, and get an idea for what I meant by it feeling "dry".

Also, the leather is showing its worn effect more at the corners where there is more stress. The first shot is of this, and the second & third shot show where it kind of flakes to show the natural color of the leather underneath. For those that opt for a zipper (which I don't recommend with this style/leather), you can see in the last picture how the presence of the zipper flap underneath causes stress on the leather on top (the lighter, raised line).
Thanks for the detailed review and pictures Royalwink! The shade is so lovely, I wish it had a softer texture but glad you are happy with it in any case. I am a little concerned about the flap since I was going to put a zipper closure on my MO - so, if Ignacio moves the closure he's said this will not happen?

Congrats on your new bag sara, it's beautiful!

Yep, you got it. I wanted the zipper for peace of mind, not to have the side-openings covered when it was full. I therefore didn't need the flap to extend the width of the bag first, THEN fasten. I just wanted it to fasten as if the sides of the bag and zipper flaps were flat against each other. You can specify either case though. The fastener will be put in the right spot from now on, but you have to tell him which case you want. To span the width of the bag, they have accommodated by making a longer flap, but if you just want it flat like I did, have them use a regular flap.

So now that we have our own forum, do we create another general discussion thread, or do we chat away in the individual threads?

Yeah, merrygold, I was wondering that, too. I am just going to be a follower at the moment!
