Ok, I decided to go for it and ordered a glossy ink blue emilia.

^^^That'll be gorgeous, LL. I did check the Ignes site leather catalog to confirm the name of 729, and it's pearlized charcoal.

Cool, thanks. I also added a mini ormala in the cherry red with silver hardware. I think it will be striking but will need reinforcement.

I could use some advice. I want to order a cherry red bag. My options are Mini-E and Josephine. Here are my pros and cons:

Mini-E Pros:
  1. I think Cherry Red would be best in this style.
  2. I like this shape bag a lot.
Mini E Cons:
  1. I have a Mini-E on the way. Although I do have a large bag collection, I don't have so many to be repeating styles. Plus, who knows if I will actually like this in real life.
Josephine Pros:
  1. Has a zipper.
  2. Is a hobo shape, like the Mini-E, which I prefer.
Josephine Cons:
  1. I'm not sure I completely dig the shape - looks a bit squarish to me.

I love the Mini E! For some reason the Josephine doesn't appeal to me. The cherry red is lovely leather.

^ I agree. I had a Josephine and sold it. It was too square, flat and not hobo-ish enough for me. I much prefer the mini Emilia of the two.

Well....I'm #3 vote for the mini-E...Josephine doesn't appeal to me either...

And that cherry red leather...ever since Duranie swooned all over it it has been in the back of my mind. Good choice!!

If you prefer the style of the Mini E, I really think that's the one you ought to go for. The Josephine definitely doesn't seem like a conventionally-slouchy hobo, so it may not be worth taking the risk on the Josephine if you're uncertain about the style.

I was trying to find a picture of a josephine in cherry red that was posted in MArch sometime and I am not finding it! It was GORGEOUS! I like the Josephine but it is a different shape from our beloved Emilia, to be sure.

Perhaps your mini-E on order and cherry red are different enough from one another, Jane*Bond?? But I think the cherry red is outstanding in the Josephine.

Jane-- STEP AWAY from the Josephine. I dont dig the shape either and know it would bother me after a while. The cherry red is so slouchy that I think it screams to be made in an emilia. I went crazy and went for a cherry red mini-o (crazy Vicodin purchase #4) but an emilia actually works with the leather
