Irainei, you're so cute!! But agree with you and everyone that saving it up for a sweet motherhood gift to yourself will be so awesome!!
Elizat, that's great! And your gorgeous new bathroom is such a great way to reward AND reinforce your resolutions. |

I too stayed away, barely used the bag I got in the previous sale.
when I went back and forth trying to choose a leather then a bag and vice versa, I realized it was the sale that was driving me. |

Hi all, I contemplated for awhile about getting a makeup case but finally decided against it. I have so many bags that I don't even know how many (but just enough, not a crazy number). Re-organizing my home has really shed light on the "stuff" I have. I have good space in my master closet, but it's not a good idea to have more than will fit in an orderly fashion.
Plus, a friend commented that every time she sees me I have a new bag she's never seen before! And most are not new to me. So, I'll try to enjoy what I have, for now. This thread is a great idea! Then I won't have to pretend TPF doesn't exist to keep my impulses in check. |

well, the sale has ended and so temptation is over! i realized as i tried leather combos together that i really don't need a new bag. i've barely worn my new petra and the reason i was interested in a new bag was the sale.
good job kuwa on resisting the makeup case! i remember elizat's comment....do you really want to destroy a pretty makeup case with spilt make up or lotion? i am going to stick with my clinique GWP pouches. plastic and easy to clean! ok, i'm officially on a ban until the end of the year. no more shoes, bags, and other accessories until the Christmas sales. who's with me?

^ Me! I hope to not purchase anything until next June (I have 4 months already into no purchases), unless it is a necessity for work. I will need a new pair of lower heels for work soon though, once the ankle brace is off. My other heels are about 3 inches and I'd like a pair that is 1.5 inches or so to ease back into a heel.

Kuwa- TOTALLY know what you mean...I went through a cleaning spree a few weekends ago and was surprised at how much stuff I accumulated. I found purses I totally forgot about! LOL
I think when we see SALE, we automatically go into lusting-mode and can't help ourselves...as long as we pledge to keep it to leather matching and no triggers pulled without prior approval...we'll succeed LOL |

Friends comment that to me too, as well as my mom. I only have a few bags I carry now, but I would get that comment a lot. That led me to list a bunch of bags and move them out of the house. I'm starting on the garage tonight and putting all the tools away from the remodel, but that requires cleaning to even put stuff away first. That garage is a disaster. I don't know how I make it such a mess, but I do. I think I'm going to stop off for drawer organizers and label drawers w/ contents- like screws, screwdrivers, drillbits, etc., on the front, so I know what is in the drawer before opening. I alphabetize the pantry though and organize by meal and size. I think I have an actual problem w/ that though- I don't think that is normal (not joking right now). |

I went through a cleaning and organizing fit a few weeks ago and was shocked at how many bags I had/have! Stored in my closet, office and basement! I have sent 6 out for consignment and sold/traded 4 or 5. Of course now I have bought a few
Moving in the right direction. I must do the one out/one in from here on out! I did succomb to the Ignes sale with a Virginia in royal purple! I did show some restraint and not get the other 2 bags I was thinking of. It is good to have some to wish for! The Virginia will probably be my anniversary present

Hey guys, so nice to have a "support" group here! TPF was really messing up my $ flow for awhile.
But a whole year? Hmm, I could do it, but it's like dieting to me. Better to just be sensible than to publicly declare an outright ban (I am weak and will cave under that kind of pressure, what can I say ). And shoes, momo? THAT is the hard one, for me!!Elizat, I need a miniature of you on my shoulder! I swear. Voice Of Reason Sandy, I will have to live vacariously through you because I have wanted a Virginia since the beginning. I don't know why I didn't make it a priority before. And with the chains, it's like a GST shopper (drool, and Chanel fans sorry for the comparison)! Please, take tons of pictures to satisfy the rest of us! I LOVE the royal purple leather. Irainei & others who have completed the "decluttering", please tell me it has an end! |

so pick something that works for you! |

I know it's just a wording issue but I guess that's the negative connotation I have of it. On the other hand, I imagine for some people it's an all or nothing thing....you are either "banned" or going nuts and buying a bunch of stuff!! sometimes it is hard to gain teh middle ground.

I figured this a good place to post this: if anyone is interested in the bag below please pm me! This is a super soft bag from Anthropolie that is a bit dirty ( I will clean up a bit ) and has the tongue thingy going on. I thought that someone who is ambitious might even dye it! If there is not interest, off to donation it goes! There is a tab that the tongue fits t
