yes, I have much to learn, from our resident Ignes designer!!

I am planning to use my BV as everyday bags ( that said unless it is raining...), If I use them just for special ocasions, they will be so much time lying in my wardrobe.

I think I would like to keep just two black bags, but the option is letting go my beloved miniO, so it is not happening, too painfull... I dont worry about ali kooba, so I will keep 3 black bags.
Black is such a basic, and I think all the bags are different from one another.

Quote:
about browns, the josephine is a hobo that doesnt makes my hear beat, i dont know why, I have tried, but I have used it just once or twice, at the beginning. I am sure keeping the TMEmidi and I think the campana ( still have to see it IRL, but I think it will be love). About the sunflower emilia, I am not so sure, I want to keep it, as it is a gift from my mum and it is a great summery bag, beautiful colour, but I have thougth about letting it go in my decluttering passion, but after thinking a lot, I will give it a second chance, maybe I will use it a lot this summer!
That's two brown, in different styles and shades, and 1 tan, so this is quite a conservative number, I think.
Quote:
Wines: I agree, francis is a work bag, minisofia is very beautiful for winter and nikki is a summer red. I dont need pinks or fuschias, dont feel atracted by them.

green: I keep the MAM because is a bag I like to stare at, but I dont use it, as it cant be shoulder carried. Love the colour though, like emerald, so beautiful. But it makes my RM collection fullfilled ( a nikki, a MAM and in the future a MAC).
You know how some women, esp in small apartments, display their gorgeous shoes on shelves? You should display your MAM! Just put it on a display shelf along with some other items and books, and just incorporate it into the decor! But if you could bring yourself to get rid of it, I bet there are Minkettes out there who are searching for this color bag!

Quote:
metallic: I prefer love me mini before the abanico lupo, I bougth this one because this design is the more coveted one,and it is really beautiful, but it is not so user friendly (I am so lazy). I love the leather though, but when I use a metallic, is the LMM.
yay, glad hte LMM is working for you!!

Quote:
Purple: love BE purple. the gaby is more for proffessional use, and i use the francis for that, so my gaby doesnt get used at the end. But the purple ostrich is so beautiful and unique and the dark blue suede lining is so gorgeous, I cant part with this bag.
I think you were using it before you got your Francis, I seem to remember. You will use it again, and in the meantime, it is not getting banged up and getting a nice rest!

Quote:
Blue: realized the Love me midi is too big for me, so letting go the cobalt has been an easy decision. I will keep my winner emilia in tinted blue, with this one I have blue covered ( just perfect for casual and a little more dress up occasions)
Too bad about the LM midi, that is such a wonderful cobalt! So perfect for the season. You should be able to find a new home for it easily, except I know that things aren't moving a lot right now...maybe the economy!

Quote:
White: yes, for miniemilia summer perfection is the description!

clutches:
- would like to keep one handheld black ( baby veneta when it arrives) and one shoulder black (MAC). just the baby veneta in brown, the gold karung clutch, luka in silver / gunmetal ( love this clutch). This way I will have gold/silver/brown/black.
Also I will keep the anthra clutch because I love it. It is quite painful to use it handheld, as it is quite big, but i am trying to get a leather shoulder strap to attach to this bag, so i can shoulder carry.
that's great that you can get a shoulder strap for your beloved Bal!!

Quote:
About accesories: the two AP are keepers, I have a bespoke started for a black pebbled one, but rigth now dont know if I will continue with it ( they are giving free AP to all the ladies of the TME bespoke in this leather, so I am sure I wont be needed for the bespoke to be done). I feel quite strange seeing how a lot of girls will have theirs for free while I have to pay a lot of money for mine ( it is a beautiful but expensive little thing) , and all the elizat issues doesnt make me fell like giving Jackie my money rigth now. the bal make up bag is great shape, but a ligth colour, so i will give it a chance to be used, if I cannot fit it in my wardrobe, i will sell it and look for another one in another colour ( maybe pomme or raisin) . the kiss me in purple i like the letaher, but not the shape, I have discovered that BE for me is TME midi, love me mini and AP. the other bags doesnt appeal to me and the half circle shape is not of my liking.
I totally think you should adandon your bespoke for the black pebbled AP. I think this bag is way expensive, and you have two already....I think there will be some coming for sale after this offer. It is weird to pay for one when others are getting it free. The pomme color is gorgeous, and so is the raisin!! I am thinking Bal is not hard to sell?

Quote:
Yes, I have a balanced colection, even in my decluttering mode I can racionalize it, so I am afraid I will never be the kind of girl having just 4-6 great high end pieces, but more like 15 bags, 5 clutches and some accesories...
yay, perfect collection!! I think it's a great idea to hold onto some of your bags so you have options to the BVs when it is raining, etc. Great plan!!

Euridice, thanks for you kind comments about my collection. I cant display it anywhere as I have no room at home plus a DH that will take me to phsiquiatry if he realices how many bags I have. I mean, he knows I have a lot of bags, but not the exact quantity, and not at all the price of them! Sigh, I think I could have payed one year of my mortage with all my last years bag expenses!

Ok, for my two cents, here goes: Don't buy full price!! I have five BVs and it kills me when I see something I paid full price for reduced a couple of months later to 30-50% off. Certain styles are popular and will sell out-- but most dont!

I am all for enabling, but since you are new to BV, I would probably use the bags you have, see how they wear, see what you think carrying them a lot and then purchase more later. I know I have seen purple venetas on ebay for around 1100-1200. They dont hold the value so dont buy full price!

Newbaglover, I agree with Lionlaw. There are rumors on the BV subforum that the bags will no longer go on sale after this sale, but you should still wait it out. Enjoy and use what you have and rotate them as much as possible. Then you can decide to get a new bag after you have used the ones you have. On the suede, Lionlaw's bag is lovely and probably makes a bunch of us want to run and order one. However, I think suede looks best in the fall, with tweed and corduroy (sp?) and other weightier fabrics - those types of fabrics tend to bring out the beauty of suede much more and looks so stylish. I think suede in the summer can be a bit "heavy" and hot for the summer. So you should wait until fall. Maybe by then, Ignes may even get some more colors. (Of course, it has been way too cold for June around here, so Lionlaw will probably get some use out of this bag even now).

I am carrying it today!! But again, I am a suede freak and carry my Saba and other suede bags year round.

Wait for a sale for everything! It seems that everything goes on sale these days! Or someone got it and is selling it because she can't return it. I remember being bummed at not getting a bag during the 35% sale (dh got my bday gift), and then Mini O got listed from the sale, so I still got the sale and a brand new bag I love.

I still love the Prada Gauffre, so I think a black or brown or purple (very basic) will be the sale I seek, but it will probably need to wait a year....since when I reach an Ignes in my bag fund, I'm jumping on one! That doesn't sound exactly mindful, does it. Hmmm...but part of this is planned purchasing, right? Not all out banning ourselves?

No Cute, you are the most sensible and judicious of all of us here. You pay cash. You plot. You save. You jump on great deals. You are the poster child of mindful, lady! AND you have a great stylist! lol

Mindful does not mean banning yourself unless you want to....listen to your inner bag and she will let you know when it's time to be banned....

^^^I got my Kooba on my NM card . I try to behave but don't always.

I was really flipping wanting purple last night. MM and I were at the mall to return some shoes he won't wear, says they hurt his feet. And when I looked around, little to no purple. ACK! Just a bunch of B. Makowsky purple, and not going there again. Cannot believe last fall happened and I missed the purple boat. I now know to watch The Rack, NMLC, and Marshalls carefully since the fall stuff could still be hitting.

Thanks girls! I have no desire of buying full price BV now, you are great! yes i need a step aside and look and enjoy what i already have. It is the only way to stay at TPF ( if I cant behave I will need to cut all the bridges here for a while, because of my weakness), but you have helped a lot! THANKS!!

I will wait until fall for my suede miniE and until Xmas sales to more BV.

Rigth now waiting for my ebano campana and rame coin purse and make up pouch. That's all!

NBL, wait until October with me???? Can we order your first suede and my first very special Emilia together? I will have Emilia embossed with the year. Purple? Wine? I want tinted wine, tinted blue, purple, and black ostrich, and I want Emilia, Cecilia, Luisa, and a work Ormala, which will be grey with gold hardware. Deciding on color combos. VEry veRY excited to have an Emilia.

Those are my bag plans for a year. Pretty sane, eh? (NOT) But that's the list, with a sale purple Baby Millie in there if I can. I figure a bag a quarter? That's more reasonable than 10 in December like last year....lol.

It's a deal!!! And I totally want to replace my purple bag and my blue Sorial (both sold). I LOVE the blue on the Sorial. So almost four months to plot our Mini E's. I think I'll go Mini after seeing the tinted wine Mini E (who was that? ugh).

Should I avoid obsessing in here and speak only of waiting? I'm thinking so.

OCTOBER for NC and NBL!
