No need to feel sorry for me. Ireland I survived...Mexico was painful...but life has it's ups and butt downs, eh? I've got plenty of pity for myself...so no making me poster girl of pathetic, even if I qualify...lol. K? Honestly, I should shut up and stop whining. But yes, vacation...really want to go to Disney with the boys...little ds will be the perfect age this winter to really giggle the whole time.

And I don't want an overnight...I just want ten different cool bags with one or two items in each...sound fun? lol Actually, I want a day at a first class spa with my friend C...massages, gourmet food and wine, the works. Just one day...and a bugdet for Nordies would be fun :).

Hi No Cute! I am still working on this thing! My assistant was supposed to complete about 40% of it and for two weeks she kept saying she would get to it. I was a little worried if she would make the deadline for her part of the work that I needed in order to finish my part of the budget, but I didn't want to step on her toes since I had delegated to her and I was conducting follow up meetings.

Well, Monday I received an email from HR that she went out on disability - WTF! My budget was due this Friday, but my mom passed away the Sunday before this past one so my building owner was nice enough to give me an extra week and then the little missy craps out on me!

Sigh...she will probably come back when it's all done. Then I will need to go out on disability !! Sometimes I despise managing people!!

I have to finish it by tomorrow, but I worked all day so I just had to take a forum break !

Yes, my mom had a long struggle with cancer that went to her brain. It's sad, but I am very happy that she is in a better place. I was able to have quality time with her so it's all good . Cancer sucks!!

Brain stuff is the pits...awful awful. And cancer too. I'm so sorry. But I'm glad you got time with her.

I didn't say anything because I had to work and if I talked about it I would start crying and couldn't stop. I'm fine now, though!

I so get that. The most I talk about Mom is here because I just can't cope. It's all too weird and surreal for me. I say the f-word a lot...that helps. And I curse about the diseases Mom may have had...no definitive diagnosis to explain the decline in three years from independent functioning Mom to the end that I will just say was very bad. It's been a summer of hiding and wondering what to think . And Mom's death winds in so many issues for me because of her diagnosis (or lack of) and the timing...the date she died was already a tragic one for me, so opens up other grief.

Anyway, you didn't want to talk and you need to budget and sending positive budgeting vibes and ...and a few of my best and most choice curses (and I've gotten really really good) to the skank who bailed without notification.
