Default Ignes Bags-- How are they holding up?
Several of us have ordered bags in different styles, so I thought it would be useful to see how everyone's bags are holding up.

I have received two sofias and one ormala.

The patent ormala has held up beautifully and looks new (used one month off and on).

The purple cowhide sofia really puddled and scratched easily which is a characteristic of that leather. Not for me, so I returned it. Ignes paid shipping for the return and asked no questions, and made me another bag!!

The more structured navy leather still looks new after a week's continuous use. It puddles in the middle, but the bag has retained its structure since Ignes reinforced the sides.

Will add pics later.

Great idea for a thread Lionlaw! I've been meaning to post an update on my Mini Sophia in Raspberry leather.

It's held up very well, I am so pleased! I've been using it almost non-stop since I got it and while it has gotten a few scratches and scuffs they show up as a lighter version of the leather and with some Applegard have either buffed out to where you can't see them at all or you can ony see them faintly. So, the raspberry leather will scratch but I think they show up in a subtle way, I wouldn't hesitate to order this kind of leather again.

The raspberry on my Mini Sophia does not puddle, it's a more structured leather and I think the design of the MS reinforces the side areas outside of the soft middle, so that helps it to keep it's shape as well. I don't know that it would be this structured on another model. It has worn in nicely though and the leather veins beautifully.

This picture was taken this morning, I was assessing a new bag and deciding whether to keep it or not and worried the colors might be too similar so I took lots of picks. * Please see my separate thread on this Kale Lyndon bag and give me your input!* I would love to post more close up pics of my Mini Sophia but my husband has now left to go out of town for several days and he has the camera with him. I'll be happy to post more pics when he returns if anyone would like me to. In the meantime, here she is taken this morning.

Oh and please note that the drawstring tab on the side now lies completely flat against the bag! The leather has softened up a good deal while still retaining it's shape.

Linda

She looks great Linda!! My reinforced navy has puddled more than the raspberry leather so it must be really tough.

Here are pics of my navy sofia after a week's heavy use (photo taken holding it upright wiht bag empty-nothing in it)

It looks great Lionlaw, still like new! I seem to recall Ignacio telling me that the regular size Sophia will puddle more than the mini due to it's size.

Dsrk, collector of bags huh? I bet you have quite the collection!

LindaP, I love your gorgeous Kale! The color is so deep and beautiful.

Love the navy LL, but than again, I do love puddly soft bags.

How is the Virginia? Does it puddle at all or is it rather stiff like a tote bag?Think it will still look pretty w/ an 11" drop? Does it fall off the shoulders?

Would love to see some modeling pics from those who have ordered custom sized shoulder straps.

duranie70, I haven't used my Virginia yet although it does not puddle because I chose a non-puddling leather ~ dark purple patent. It stands upright like a tote bag. It didn't fall off my shoulder when I tried it on, and I received it with its given strap drop of 8.5". I think you are a lot taller than me (most everyone is, so this is no surprise) and that an 11" drop would work great for you. And, I don't think it would look funny on the bag, but that's just me.

I've put my whiskey Ormala through heavy use every work day for a month, and it's holding up fantastically! Most of the leather still appears as structured as if brand new, but the bottom sides are beginning to soften and slouch a little bit, probably because I stuff the bag to bursting every day.

I still love my bag, I love it so very much!

My patent ormala is the same way. The very bottom slouches a little bit, but not much. I would have added pics, but my camera died on me.

It is holding up nice and pretty in its dust bag Truth be told, I haven't worn it yet because I've been wearing bright colors for summer and plan to wear this in fall. I have no doubt however that it'll hold up great, judging from the construction of the bag and quality of the patent.
