So even before I start my new job .... I'm already planning my next Ignes...or two or three

Here's my dilemma ... I have a lot of styles I want, but my favorite leathers are OOS

Celery is my current fave, but no longer available (Maria confirmed this morning), she is going to email me (& TL) some alternate greens ...but I'm afarid I won't love them as much as the Celery .....

Ice Grey 734 is OOS and not sourceable. Maria did say they are looking at a Dk Grey similiar to the old Dk Grey of my Chiara and TL's Virginia, so good news for anyone who's been interested in that OOS leather.

Before I lost my job I had ordered a Mini Sofia in Tinted Wine/Wine Patent. At the time I canceled Maria mentioned that the last piece of Wine Patent they had in stock was damaged and not usable. I chatted w her this morning and is going to look into sourcing it again, but didn't sound too hopeful.

So help me get over my mental block .... suggest some leathers for me!

Here are the styles I want (not all on this order, obviously!)

Mini Chiara
Petra
Mini Emilia
Mini Ormala
Mini Sofia
Virginia

Here are some color guidelines. No more blues, I have two variation of Glossy Ink Blue, so my blue niche is filled. Metallics only as accent leathers, I'm not brave enough for an all metallic bag. No gold tones. I love mixing leather for the Mini E braid, or Petra bow. I'm tempted by a brown bag, maybe the new Tan or Pearlized Brown??

The only thing I know for certain is I want a new everyday black work bag. I'm leaning toward a Black 109 Mini Ormala.....

Aw, I'm so sad about celery. Wonder if there are any other leathers that have that same texture/feel as celery? A pretty light turquoise would be nice in that same lovely texture.

Anyway, so black 109 mini ormala. Any accents or all black? I love the crinkled black patent leather!

The pearlized brown is lovely. It's a lot like the pearlized bordeaux in texture. Even my dh was drawn to it. I thought about it in place of celery. I requested a swatch of the new tan also as the gals that had swatches of it raved over it. Hopefully I'll have it soon and can share with you unless you get one too! I like metallic gunmetal alot but I'm not sure I can do a whole bag in it either! It seems nice mixed with the charcoal leather (can't remember the exact name).

What about pearlized bordeax with gunmetal in a mini E? Wonder what metallic would mix with pearlized brown? Maybe warm pewter?? I don't have warm pewter or would try it. It really throws a monkey in the works with our celery being OOS, huh? I'm going to wear black today to mourn the parting of celery. So, so sad.

Sillykitty- no love for whiskey? Check out aster alice for the mini ormala in tinted chocolate. Pearlized bordeaux sounds awesome.

Lots of love for Whiskey, I just think it's too close to the Sunflower I already have. I saw that TC Mini O on AA, I'm tempted. I really like the AA lining. I'm especially interested because the more I think about my TC Mini C, the more I think I won't keep it.

I'm thinking the Mini Ormala will be all the Black 109. I like the patent as well, but I think I might get tired of it day after day, kwim? I wish there was more Black Ostrich ... wouldn't a Black on Black Mini C look pretty like Ms. Liz's Turquiose?

I like the Shimmer Charcoal as well, looks really pretty w the Gunmetal. I just can't picture a whole bag in it. Just pulled out my pouch, it's too similar to the Dk Grey, trying not to duplicate.

I was looking through the swatch thread yesterday and the Pearlized Brown caught my eye. Plus GingeyBear said it was like the original GIB, and my love for GIB I is well known. I haven't seen it IRL though. Is it too much of a gold tone? Do you think it will work w silver hw? What's the structure like? What about Vintage Chocolate, I think you told me before it's more of a goldtone? That new Tan though, I'm really liking it! I've decided...Ignes has too many great browns!

I like the Pearlized Bordeaux Mini E w Gunmetal idea. I was driving around today contemplating it, looked over at my passenger seat and it occured to me, I think it will be too similar to my GIB Mini E. Maybe a Josie, same leathers, but different enough design .... hmmm....

Vintage chocolate w/ shine is more goldish. It's relaxed but not soft to the touch. Nice look and texture though. Pearlized brown is definitely brown, a lighter brown, not as dark as tinted chocolate. It is like GIB or pearlized bordeaux because when it is in the sun you can see the sparklieness (made up that word!) that's set within the leather. It is smooth and soft. Not celery soft but like pearlized bordeaux. If the sun is out tomorrow I'll try to capture some nice images for you. I think it'd be nice with silver hardware too as it actually looks pretty sitting next to metallic gunmetal!

OK, I took some pics. I'll post just a sec.

ETA: Sorry, pics not good enough and distort the colors. I'll try tomorrow in the sunlight. Anyway, the pearlized brown feels most like pearlized bordeaux and is definitely brown that would work with silver or gold hw. It's one of the leathers I'm considering for my mini E!

Thanks TL .... I'm happy to know the Pearlized Brown isn't gold-y, and it looks good next to the Gunmetal. Hmmm... what style do you think?

I have not kept up on all the leathers for some time, but I remember really liking the pearlized ones. I would go for one of those. The black mini O sounds very nice and classic- I would not mix patent w/ it personally.

I like the idea of the Emilia or Mini E in pearlized brown. But any style that the GIB looks good in would be good for the pearlized brown. Oh but you were concerned about it being too close to your GIB Mini E, right? What about a pearlized brown Petra with a different color bow? Are you requesting swatches? If not, I can send you a piece of the pearlized brown back with your swatches I borrowed and you can see gunmetal with pearl brown to see if you like them together. A mini sofia in PB would be nice too. Not much help, huh? LOL!

I have a lot of narrowing down to do!

TL - Did Maria email you pics of green leathers? Yesterday she mentioned she would send them to both of us, but I haven't seen them yet, have you?

No, SK, I didn't receive any emails of greens. We discussed lagoon green and acqua. I'm leaning toward acqua. I need a swatch of acqua though to be sure. Maria didn't have one to send me. I'm curious about new tan too. And pearlized brown is on my list of possibilities.

I like the sound of the Josie, Mini O in TC and a Mini Chiara in pearlized brown.

Ok...I've been mentally narrowing it down a bit. I think I'm going to order 3 bags.....

Black Bag
1st Choice: Mini Chiara in Black 109 w Black Ostrich accents (like Ms. Liz's Turquoise Nappa/Ostrich Chiara Pics ~ )
2nd Choice: Mini Ormala in Black 109

Bright Bag
Mini or Midi Sofia in Tinted Wine/Wine Patent (Maria confirmed the Patent is available!)

Brown Bag
Something in Pearlized Brown
OR
Mini E in TBD Leather w Terra Cotta Suede in the braid

So the Brown bag is what I'm really struggling with.

I really love the Pearlized Brown. It's a beautiful true midtone brown, not too dark, not too light. I know I'll love the metallic glint that's infused in the leather, since I adore my GIB I Mini O. The problem is I don't know what style I want. I don't want to mix leather. I think the PB is so special on it's own, another leather will take away from it. So the rules out the Mini E for me, because I think it looks a little plain w only a single leather in the braid (I'm obsessed w mixing leathers though!). Same with the Petra & Josie. I really want a Virginia, but it needs to be in a structured leather, since I don't like the way added structure looks. I can't decide if I like the Salina or not, and I think it needs a semi structured leather. So w the syles I like, I'm left w a Mini C or a Mini O. Maybe this will come down what style I get for my Black Bag

Now my other brown choice is a Mini E. The Mini E style is my favorite (well, I go back and forth w the Mini O). I love, love the Terra Cotta Suede (although, I quibble with calling it Terra Cotta!). The suede compliments the leather in the pic below beautifully. BUT Jane*Bond was told it is Lt. Whiskey. It's a beautiful tinted leather, but is it too close to the Sunflower I already have?? I wonder if the New Tan will work with this suede?
