It occurred to me that if I really were being virtuously patient, I would not be reading the subforum every day...

Oh, and I was wearing my black ostrich Gabi today and got some jealous-sounding comments from a fellow Nordstrom customer.

Pinkshoulders, nobody of us is REALLY patient, what am I saying, even only patient...
And I understand about you Gaby comments, this bag is so elegant... it is black so understated, but still manage to get attention, just out of chicness it exhudes (ummmm...love black ostrich, running to go and pet my miniormala in black ostrich).

I ordered my tinted wine Gabrielle on the next-to-last day of the sale, I think. That arrived last week, of course, but it's due to go back and be remade. Otherwise, that was faster than expected!

I am waiting for three bags ordered during the sale:

-emilia in tan suede with champagne braiding
-petra in tinted choc with turq ostrich bow
-mini-emilia in cognac with whiskey/cognac braiding
-Veronica Max in mint salmon

And from way before the sale-- still waiting on a decent mini-ormala in ostrich (now in turq color so the yellow had issues)

Newbaglover, the comment came from a woman in the Nordstrom accessories department. I had my Gabi on the counter while I looked at scarves and she said something like "well, that didn't come from here, did it? That looks like a couple grand." I said thank you and that the bag was custom made from South American ostrich. I did not mention the price.

And then I wondered what she had against a Nordstrom handbag department that carries Valentino and Ferragamo and Burberry.

It does look like a couple grand! The black ostrich is such an amazing leather! So glad you're enjoying her, pinkshoulders.

Sorry ladies, I just realized today that this thread is talking about the April Friends Sale orders. I jumped in yesterday and posted about my order that was finalized only recently and caused some confusion, sorry about that!

Tejava, no harm no foul! An Ignes on order is an Ignes on order! My friends sale Emilia order didn't even get finalized until last week while awaiting a picture of the new turquoise.

Well, not exactly the classiest compliment, but a very classy response, and of course I'm not surprised this fantastic bag got noticed even surrounded by all the fabulous bags they carry at Nordstrom!!
