okay, I actually looked at the website. I like hte gourmet basket that Newbaglover has recommended. Now, where is Ignacio and where is this workshop? They are not at the same place?? I think a plant for I gnacio, nad the basket for everyone. And what about the baby gift that Elizat offered?!
Actually, I think we should skip all that and send mariachis!! Now, how awesome would that be!!? |

^ I am still happy to send the blanket along.
I don't think my meaning came out right- by local, I meant like a place in the same location that is a restaurant that does catering, rather than pre-packaged food in a basket- kind of like comparing a Hickory Farms basket v. having a good local spot bring in a catered lunch. Does that make sense at all? However, I will go along w/ what the majority wants. |

I'd like to join it too! The plant plus food idea sounds great but in the end, anything is fine. I think they'll really appreciate the gesture.

No one seems to be going for my mariachis idea! I thought that was so awesome when I saw those guys on their site, at first I thought it was just decoration, then realized you could order them!! I love mariachi band music.
Okay, so who is in for this? Newbaglover Euridice starkfan Sandysandiego irainei elizat jred No cute Lionlaw duranie are what I am seeing. How are the logistics going to work? I mean, are we able to order through this Uruguayan site? How will we reimburse one another, through paypal?? Do we want elizat to send the blanket along? What would that cost be for that? (so we can factor that in when dividing up the costs of the other gifts). |

The mariachis are a fun idea, but I prefer something to share and a little more durable. It will be very difficult to know at wich time all the Ignes team will be together. If it is food or a plant if someone is going to the tanneries, or if maria is at home with little Santiago, they can have also a piece of fruit or get to see the plant.
It is going to be difficult, at bagtrends we knew a space of time, but now we dont have an insider spy, so we can tell Maria ( but it wont be a surprise for her) and ask her advice or send it and hope they will get it a the best moment. I am going to check it, 1st may is a bank holiday here in Spain, the worker day. I dont know if it is the same in uruguay or not. I am with Elizat sending the baby blanket, it will be a nice gift for little santiago. Elizat, you must tell how much would be the shipping, so we can refund you. and then the rest share the cost of the food + plant. It is just an idea, if you like it. |

Yes, would love to have the blanket go to little Santiago, if that still works.

newbaglover, I should have made it clearer that I was kidding about the mariachis! Although I'm glad you agree they are fun....
I agree durable. Plant that will last for Ignacio, and food basket for the entire team?? Are we sure they are at different locations, Ignacio and workshop? You could ask Maria in terms of Ignacio and the workshop, but use what she tells you to surprise her as well!!! I think that would work. She would be part of the secret and be pleased we are doing something, then surprise!! baby blanket for you, Maria! Yes, I think it will work, and you could ask the company with the gifts about the holidays, and you could ask Maria about the company, if she had heard of it, thinks it's nice, and would work for sending something for the workers! ![]() |

That would be fine. I'll need the information for shipping too. I may have to buy a box, b/c I don't think I have one that is the right size- all mine seem too big or too small- I checked when we originally discussed the idea.
