I have two rooms that are in need of something for the windows. Our kitchen is brand new and we are soon to have window trim installed, and after that I will need to decide on something as a window treatment. In our living area, we have crinkled sheers, but they definitely need something else.

I don't know what I am looking for, except I'd love to see pictures of YOUR windows! Curtains, window scarves, blinds, valances, swags, anything (or even nothing, and when and where that works) at all; I am just looking for ideas and any and all pictures are welcomed!

Thank you!

Oh, I hadn't even considered shades or Roman shades. You can still post pictures! Simple is a very valid decorating technique, and I am looking at ALL possibilities!

This is what I did in my BR last week.

For reference, I purchased the panels and curtain rings on sale at westelm.com. The rod is from BB&B. Can we get some suggestions here, also? Because I'd like to know where everyone is getting nice curtains.

Thanks for posting! I am still window-treatment free, but I need to get something in place before the holidays. I just don't even know where to start or what direction to go, especially for the kitchen.

I have golden oak blinds on my kitchen window and there is a valance that I have my eyes on at BB&B that I think I may go with. I just never know where to look for nice treatments (at good prices). I lucked up and got each of the panels for my BR for $11 a piece. So, after spending so little, it's hard to cough up $30+ on one panel!

Thought I'd bump this thread. I just bought a new house too that has tons of windows!! It's been a headache! I finally found some for the dining room and I'll post pictures once I have it up and going. I have to wait a couple of weeks because...of course...right when I finally found them...they were on back order!

Anything up yet? I've been assigned new kitchen curtain duty for my mom. I've mostly done custom, trying to come up with something off the rack is tricky!

I did have valances up for the holidays, but they were off-the-rack and awful TBH. I am in the process of ordering a custom made upholstered valance for the large window, though it will likely be a little while before it is up. I'm glad I didn't rush, though. It took living with the remodel for a little while before I had the "feel" of the space enough to know what I wanted for the long term.

*Upholstered Valance* I love anything upholstered!! I know the whole process can be a bit much. And you totally don't want to mess up on the custom, much better to decide you don't care for the store bought! Definitely smart to take your time. Please keep us updated. With pics!

I love http://www.ballarddesigns.com they have some beautiful curtains. I also like how they decorate the rooms with such beautiful pieces. I get alot of inspiration from them.
