None for me today. I'm redocorating and cleaning my apartment. I'm going for the arts and crafts look. So I have to cull, cull, cull my wardrobe. The scarves are staying of course.

Grands Fonds in cobalt blue today with black peacoat, ankle length dark jeans, orange Prada flats, and orange Kelly.
HG--sounds fun! I need a visual--what would be an "arts and crafts" look? |

Oh, I'm mixing in mission style furniture, like the type made by the Stickley Brothers.BTW, I stepped out to buy groceries and put on my indigo New Orleans scarf, du-rag style around my head, as it was raining outside. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_styles_a...620_02,00.html |

Meanwhile, I'll be the VERY annoying tourist, walking around, gazing up at all the buildings and probably being punched in the kidneys by New Yorkers - LOL! I'm DYING to see some of the NY architecture!

^^In that case, go down to the East 30's and 40's. And this will be the only time I will ever tell anyone this, but DO look up in this area. Most of the buildings in this area are in the Art Deco style. Most were built during the Great Depression as part of FDR's New Deal. Government subsidies went into building those skyscrapers, such as the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building. It was the government's attempt to increase employment during this time. And these buildings are the result and their architecture represents the style popular then, Art Deco. To this day, I still gawk at the angular aluminum embellishments.
