I want to tell you that your comment hit home. I have wanted a birkin for 15 long hard years. I try hard on my search, then give up and take time to recoup and then try hard again.
I am really determined and I am going full force now. Your support (and that of the ladies on the forum) gives me the drive to continue. Imagine 15 long years? Talk about frustrations and desires for a treasured handbag. But it is my dream bag!

Hi, and welcome! It's so cool that you have connections! :)

What is Hermes' and your opinion regarding people who buy Birkins and Kellys and then resell them on eBay for thousands more than retail, with no intention of keeping the bag?

Disclaimer: not naming any names here, it's a question that I've been wondering about for some time.

Well, what can I say? You are someone who deserves it. What would you like exactly. If you want I order one for you! 15 years is way too long to wait. Why did not you put your name on a wait-list? 15 years??? You could have received even crocodile.

La Van you know I adore you. Thank you.

If you see an old lady bent over 10 years from now on a street walking that will be me...finally with Birkin on arm...can barely hold it, but will finally have one!

Hermes is totally AGAINST people who either buy bag to re-sell them on eBay or for a Japanese market but after all what can they do. That is why there is a strict policy in Hermes Paris to sell ONE Birkin a year to a regular client NOT MORE! And that is ridiculous. Take a look at createurs*de*luxe on eBay, she has more bags in stock than a main Hermes store in Paris. I know she is banned from buying at Hermes US but she pays people who buy for her. hermes should do something that will bring results to stop re-sale.

Kellybag's 15-year wait has developed this wish list. Please help her:

potiron/bicolor/vermillion/rouge vif/black/raisin, 35cm, palladium

Unless the preferences have changed Kelly?

The only way I see to help her is to fly her in to Europe and I promise her to get her a Birkin. Not a croco, but something classic for sure and cannot pronnounce for the hardware. Otherwise if the store ships to the States the problem will be settled, your 15 years wait will be over.

Thanks BBA.

Kelly - if you fly to Europe you can get your Birkin. Then, after the VAT refund, that would cover the cost of the plane ticket.

You should probably place an order. Shoulder Birkins are easier and easier to get.
