BBA, I can be happy with a basic birkin 35, palladium in one of several colors...black, potiron, raisin, chocolate (or some deep browns), indigo maybe...even a bicolor in a nice combination of scratch resistant leather. Am I asking for too much?

Oh, yes, stupid me. Vilone is the color that I personally saw in ostrich HAC. It is a very nice deep violet color which is lighter than RAISIN and darker than Cyclamen. I think the closest color is the one they used to make called PRUNE.

I know that my store had black 35 in Taurillon, 40 in gris tourterelle in togo, 35 in canvas and gold Taurillon, 30 in potiron. But I have to check with them if they are shipping to States.

Thanks BBA - I'm really curious now and I can't wait to see it personally. Is it darker than violette?

You know it is always difficult to explain the colors and I personally saw it in ostrich which is a different material. You know all colors look different in different leather, blue jean is absolutely not the same in togo and in taurillon but the most significant difference in colors is between yellow taurillon and yellow VEAU EPSOM.

Why is it that some stores ship to customers and others don't?

You are most welcome! I know what it was for me to desire something I could not get and how frustrating it was. If I can help that is the least I can do for someone who shares the same passion.

Thanks BBA!

You are right about the colors in different leathers. It always amazes me seeing the color/leather book how each color can look totally different in another leather.

As I said I am in Europe and they do ship to some countries and they do not to some others just because of customs. As a matter of fact they absolutely have to declare the full value for the bag for insurance purposes and if you bag get stuck at customs just because of its value that sucks.

How I wish they would bring back orange. The orange ostrich in the color/leather catalog looked really gorgeous!
