Of course those stores receive most bags but they have major demands as well so logically you have better chances to get a bag in store that is not that popular than in a store which has a lot of visitors and frequent customers. It happened to me once to enter to the French store in Deauville (which I never entered in though spending every summer there) think it was way too small and see a sublime black matte crocodile Birkin in 35 cm.

Thank you on the above info regarding the stores...I was not too off in my guess.

Any ideas on getting waitlisted for a bag at stores where the SA's are a bit tough to break?

On a lighter note...do you have any connections that I could use? Slip of a name...direct me to the right SA? Said with a smile! :)

Well, I have no idea what stores have tougher people than other, did not visit them all yet but one thing is sure - if you do not get along with the sales person - chose another one. My first purchase was a red Birkin from a gal at Hermes which was not very nice but she sold me the bag. When I came back two months later asking if I could have another one she told me "even if I had one available I could not sell it to you, you already have one". Imagine that??? I mean in no way to leave it like that and really said what I thought of her and just before I was leaving there was a store "hotesse" which came see me and gave me the name and the phone of the store manager. I called later in the afternoon and he spoke with me about half an hour saying they would be pleased to correct this accident and once I was back to the store I walked away with another Birkin. Since that day I found someone who takes care of me at Hermes. But if you really do want to get your name on the list why not simply sympathize with a salesperson (chose a man) and invite him for lunch. It usually works.

It is not brand new, is it? Hermes doesn't make orange anymore, it was replaced by POTIRON. What a pity!

BBA, when you say really precise what exactly are you asking me? That is a nice question that I can read into.

Have you seen the color violine? We are in mystery about this color as it's not in the color/leather catalog at the shop here. They explained it somehow to me but in case you have an idea, please share.

What leather they use this color in? By the way saw that RODEO leather - did not like it much but its color is stunning CAFE AU LAIT.

I think it comes in different leathers ... but I'm curious to see on how it looks like in ostrich.
