As much as I love my Kelly (rouge H) I feel that I reach for it more during the winter than summer. I want to find the perfect neutral colour (I already have a bag in etoupe), a versatile colour that works in summer as well as in winter. I like gold but find it a bit dark (gold in VL seems perfect but from what I understand VL is rested) and I am now thinking of tabac camel or alezan. Does anyone have any comparison pictures with any of these colors and gold? Also if you have any of these colors, do you find them versatile and easy to match with different colors of your clothes?

There seems to be a new color too (kraft) but I assume that it will take some time until we can see pictures of this...

Loving my babies!!
I have tabac camel, and I love it! I find it to be a very versatile, year-round color. Personally, I'm not familiar with alezan, and I'm not a fan of gold. I'm so glad that tabac came is coming back. It's a very feminine neutral.

I have both alezan and gold.
My alezan is here, post 60, and I'd be happy to take a picture of both together if you'd like:

My Hermes....

For me, alezan is flat and almost muddy. Strangely, in clemence it's not far off of etoupe swift (which I like much more) - I would say that it's closer to etoupe than gold.

I'm olive in tone, and gold is a MUCH better color for me - and in my opinion the white stitch makes the bag a little bit more interesting. In my opinion, gold is a deeper color with more dimension.

Sounds good! I have only seen tabac camel in real life once even if it if beyond gorgeous I am not sure of if it goes well with my complexion. I saw it inside in a H store though so it might be something different in natural light.

Thanks for your reply! Is alezan darker than gold? If it is not too much trouble, I would very much appreciate if you could take a picture of both bags.

I only have gold, but have seen tabac camel IRL (clemence lindy) and thought it was very pretty - more subtle and elegant than gold. It's a lighter color though and I was worried about it getting dirty easily.

I'm not sure that I would say darker - less warm definitely. Of course I will. Will do it later tonight.

Hello, gold is alive and vibrantly subtle if that makes sense. Alezan is ruddier, darker, drab and military-ish if your will. I own an alezan Birkin and I love its muddy, very understated color. She is year round for sure. In my opinion, a LV lover, this color matches the monogram color of the LV and flowers on the standard monogram pattern. I wear a chocolate carmen on it, and to me, it is backwards LV in color.

Ironically, I also own an H rouge Birkin. Here they are. Hope this helps.

Okay, the first picture is without flash, the second is with. The gold is togo with GHW, the alezan I believe is clemence with PHW. The second is without, and I'll download a third as well.

I'm so sorry for the horrible lighting, it's getting dark here. Here's another close up - no flash.

H colors are so magnificent. If you don't put two colors next to each other, some of them look the same. Gold definitely has more 'reddish' tone compared with Alezan. I like both colors and glad that H is reintroducing it for next year.

Here is Tabac Camel with Gold. To me, Tabac Camel is like a nude color.

Thank you so much sparklelisab, CocoB and sparklyprincess. I am so grateful for your help!

All three colours seems great! Tabac camel seems lighter than from what I remember- it seems rather close to parchemin but I believe it has an even warmer tone?!

Gold is a classic colour and I like the white stitching and alezan seems better than what I thought (I had previously read that it is a very dull color but I think it looks rather elegant) but if it is military-ish I am not sure it is for me.

i really like alezan although m first thought it looked like wet cardboard. but i like cardboard.

gold is a very warm colour, i prefer it on more casual bags

tabac camel is gorgeous but lighter than the above two.

all are stunning colours, really have to see which works with your skin tone/wardrobe etc.
