You can't control people like Lil' Kim & Lindsay Lohan to buy items from Hermes. And Hermes welcome anyone including CELEBRITIES AND NORMAL PEOPLE LIKE US to buy its items!!!!!!!!

It's not ironic. That's the DIFFERENCE between celebrities and normal people like us.

Isn't this thread suppose to be solely on postage of pics of celebs with their hermes birkins? Let's stop discussing about such topics and just post pics and talk about our love for hermes.

Does anyone have a photo of a celeb with a 40cm bag.
I would like to know what this size looks like when you
wear it.

But that is what makes this thread so interesting- hearing everyone's points of view and experiences. I welcome anyone's thoughts about what they think of a particular celebrity carrying the bag etc. Besides, it helps us pass the time until our Birkins come in!

Yeah I know! I could be collecting social security before mine comes in! But I am going to rock that bad boy with a cane in one hand, and a Martini firmly planted in the other!

Sorry, forgot not everyone is from the US - social security is a retirement benefit paid by the US government that you can collect at 65. Of course, I am only 32, but it feels like I will be old and retired by the time I finally receive my Birkin.

OMG, i have never seen so many many Hermes in one thread. It's great to see them on people. Thanks for posting the pix, ladies.
I never consider getting a Birkin, but now i have 2nd thought. Its gorgeous. The question is, it is practical? Also, what's the smallest size, does anyone know? I'm petite, so i try to stay away from large bags. btw, there's no more wait list, right? You can walk to Hermes and buy one, correct? The Hermes here just got renovated, it looks much bigger, may be i'll check it out sometimes soon.

If you want some serious eye candy go to the top thread for the Hermes Informative Catalog, which is an excellent reference as well as teh Hermes Knowledge thread. Both are at the top of the Hermes forum as stickys! You will LOVE it! And there are a few threads discussing the pros and cons to a 30cm and 35cm birkins (2 of the most popular sizes). And sadly, there are either huge wait lists, and even many that are now closed. So its all about luck. You unfortunately cannot just walk in to Hermes and buy one unless you are either INCREDIBLY lucky (meaning someone who previously ordered a birkin just refused their special order) or are a major VIP. Even then, it's all a bit of luck!

Thanks for the info. If you can't walk in to Hermes for a Birkin, then what's the store there for? Browsing only? Or for selling other things like scarves, ties?
