GK, thank you for the excellent detailed description of silicone testicular prostheses. Very informative. tPF is very informative. I had never heard of root rats until today, either. Yes, those cyclists have to watch out. Sperm count issues. PSA issues.

GK, there's the word "grouse" - slang for fantastic. You could say, "Mmm, grouse birkin, thanks for letting me borrow it", then i'd say "no worries"........

you need to really elongated the word, like, grrrr-ouuuu-s. not like the word to describe a certain breed of birds.....

haha, I knew you must be an aussie!

I think the term 'root' for how we know it (err hmm sexulised, shall we say), is not the same in other countries, particularly Canada where they have the brand Roots. LOL.

My cousins from Canada came down under and gave us Roots tshirts as presants. We were not going out of the house with Roots written all over us.

(Roots for aussies means sex. A 'root' is sex. )

So basically - root rat = female or male who sleeps around a lot. whore bag (female) or sleaze bag (male)is another option.

Gosh No! Hmm, might have to see him in the office, however since he has been rooting around so much! He could be a STD walking disaster!

Love the lesson in local colloquialisms! It was really grouse!

m1nime, those root tee shirts would probably sell for a good price on eBay BTW, as far as I know, sleaze bag is a universal expression. It is one of my DH's favorite expressions

Okay - here's one from Seattle. Our local stations incessantly run a commercial advertising SHAG - 'Senior Housing Assistance Group'. Needless to say our friends visiting from England were at first - then they were
(I guess when you hear "shag" in England it isn't referring to Florence Henderson's hairstyle.)
