Hi all of you -

I have been following some things unfolding in Hermes as of late and I would like to take some time to step in and post a reminder thread for everyone. Maybe this thread will help the group as a whole, remind new and old members, etc. Just wanted to address some issues and news for Hermes:

First of all, you have a new Hermes mod on the team! Jag and Kellybag are being joined by H_Addict. You will have seen her around often, so she is not a new face! But welcome her to the mod team and if you have any Hermes related questions, you can go to any of the three Hermes moderators, global moderators, and/or Vlad and I.

As far as rules go, there needs to be a few reminders. I have done this on other parts of the board as well, and sometimes a little freshener does wonders.

1) Be kind to one another. There is a way to state your opinion tactfully and with respect to other members. It is a fairy simple rule, but seems to be hard for many people to follow.

2) Along with that rule, we need to do our best not to bully others. This has been a growing problem on the forum (nothing MAJOR but we see it happening). I truly believe that with the forum growing as large as it has it makes some people get a bit on edge about trolls, groups of friends, etc. This goes back to rule 1, just be kind. Use the ignore feature if there is a member that really rubs you the wrong way.

3) Goes right with 1 and 2! If you have an issue, take it to PM. We do not want open drama on the board and hope that you feel comfortable enough to PM the person you are having an issue with. If you do not want to take that route, PM any of the mods that you are comfortable with. We will look into it and intervene if necessary.

4) Especially with the Hermes brand, there are many fake bags out there. If you suspect a bag is a fake that someone posts, do not post that publicly (unless on the Authenticate This thread of course!!!), but come to a mod and ask us to look into it. We may not always have a definitive answer, but we will look into the issue and handle it with the person who posted the bag best we can.

5) This forum is for Hermes threads only. If your thread is not about Hermes, we will have to move it to the proper spot in the forum. Please do a search before making new threads. All Authenticate This questions belong in the designated Authenticate This Hermes Thread.

If the rules cannot be followed, you will be banned. We really do not like to ban members (who are not spammers or obvious trolls) but sometimes we have to. As the site grows like this, there are not chances for multiple warnings for each member. I really do believe our rules are fairy straightforward and easy to go along with. If you have questions or concerns, just ask. We are here to answer and help.

I can not think of much else right now, though I may be leaving something out, so I will come back to update. Thanks everyone and hope you are having a great week!
