Thank you, Megs. The large letters and date in the title caught my eye. What you stated makes total sense to me, of course, but it helps to be reminded once in a while.

Thank you to all the moderators. This is a great place to spend some time. I've really been enjoying it.

Hi. I don't want to sound ignorant, but what are mods and trolls? I can get from context that mod is good and troll is bad, but what do they exactly mean? Anyone...? thnaks

That's OK. We all learned these terms at one time or another!

Mods are Moderators. On this forum, their names are orange (as opposed to black). They are the selfless angels who police the forums to keep things civil.

Trolls are people whose only purpose is to create drama and be jerks. They are not welcome and we should not encourage their childish behavior.

HTH! (hope that helps!)

Not for nothing, and I certainly dont want to upset or offend anyone, but you recently banned someone who I was with at Madison Ave Hermes when she bought her dream bag. That hardly seems fair as she was accused by an administyrator or whoever that it was fake. Just wanted to voice my opinion. We need to be more vigilant in how we approach people. She is very angry, and I dont blame her.

^^ Fake or not, I think the way she reacted was the reason she was banned. She was just suspected of posting a fake bag and she was given an opportunity to defend herself. No matter how angry she was, there's a thing called netiquette, and the things she posted were vile.

I was not the one who reported her but you know, people here know what they are talking about regarding authenticity, especially those who have been purchasing Hermès products for many years. They can tell from pictures, especially the laughably obvious, fake ones.

Totally understandable. But I was there. I watched them bring it out, she tried it on, and I helped her carry the ginormous bag back onto Metro North all the way up to Rye. It made me sad to see how mad she got (which sucked--she should have just given a few close up shots and a shot of the receipt) and it also made me sad because all my bags are real and I am afraid to reveal them for fear of someone wrongly accusing me of harboring fakes, which is a sin in my book. But, she should have watched her mouth and so be it. At least she knows it's real and has been carrying it around proudly for days. She's actually a very nice person, but when it comes to her hard earned money, she takes no prisoners.

Sorry, this isn't the place to discuss this. And for what it is worth, we follow the same protocol any time a bag that has been posted has been reported as fake. In this particular instance, there was more than one report. And as we do in EVERY INSTANCE, we contact the person discreetly to ask them for additional photos so that we can handle it appropriately. We do this no matter who the member is, and only in very rare circumstances does a member decide to react in the manner that your "friend" reacted, which is ultimately what got "your friend" banned.

Any further questions or discussions should be handled directly with Vlad and Megs. Thank you!

By the way, did you know that it is also a bannable offense to have two PF ids? Or is there some other reason why your IP is identical to SugarRx?

H-Addict,
Am new to Purse Forum and could use some help. Am trying to find out what I can about the Hermes Leather Trim Bag with Amazonia? I just inherited this bag and it is not really my style so I thought I would try and sell it. Do you have any information for me? Thanks,
Karen

Hi: Anyone knows the name of the tall (about 38cm, width 28cm, depth ~8cm) Togo leather Sac a Depeches- with a carrying handle and a strap that one can place across the body? The lock and carrying handle are the same as the sac a depeches briefcase but this bag is tall and narrow- a messenger bag.

Thanks
