I also just want to comment on the general attitude here lately. I have received a record number of complaints lately about some rudeness in the posts- both by old timers and newbies. It has been a problem and it has to stop. No one owns this board besides Megs & Vlad and none of us should be quick to judge another person who comes here to enjoy the forum like the rest of us. Lets try to remember that we all come from different backgrounds, and treat everyone like we expect to be treated.

Also, a note about birthday threads. We will no longer be able to send out mass PMs to everyone- so please keep an eye on my and Kellybag's signatures for birthdays of the day!

And as always, Kellybag, H_Addict and myself always have an "open door" so if you have questions, need to report something or just want to say hi, feel free to PM us!
Great points, Jag!

I've been on discussion boards for quite a few years now and have learned a lot along the way. It's so easy for our words or tone to be taken the wrong way. It's really important to take the time to re-read what we have written and make sure that we are being kind and that it reads how we mean it to be taken.

I think it may help if we remember that this is just a discussion board... not something that is life or death, so we need to give each other some slack when it comes to getting a little off track in a thread sometimes or posting in the wrong thread or asking what seems like a "dumb" question.

Peace.

Oh, I didn't know that this is an option.
LailaT Thanks for putting this out, because it really makes sense and I often decide NOT to start a thread because it is just an actual question.

Unfortunately, things have been pretty bad that we are now enforcing a zero tolerance policy. Which means, no warnings. BUT, most issues that arise don't get to that point at all (thankfully). This really pertains to the rudeness and bullying, not general stuff. Obviously, mistakes happen- that is still no problem! So there is nothing for anyone to worry about. As long as everyone treats everyone like they want to be treated, this shouldn't be an issue at all. We just can no longer tolerate some of the bullying that we see on the boards.

And if you have questions, just PM me or the other mods and we are happy to answer them.

Thanks for the reminder Megs, and welcome to H_addict! I think we should all remind ourselves once in a while of treating others the way we like to be treated ourselves......really easy rule to follow!

Everyone, I am noticing a lot more threads started in the Hermes subforum that have nothing to do with Hermes. These types of threads belong in the General Subforum (or other subforums). Thank you!
