w.y.h: yes, you're right... I don't have any box calf! Hahaha you caught me!.. I'm ashamed to say that I'm not a fan of box leather... I used to have a Box Thalassa Blue Kelly, but ended up selling it because I was too afraid to put a scratch on the smooth leather! Just can't bring myself to witness such thing! My apologies for all box fans out there...
About the twillys, no, it's not difficult at all... but if you're not sure how, you can always get one of the H SA's to teach you how to do it.

Hi White Birkin,

waow box is really that difficult to care? Hmmm... I just got a box birkin in raisin (it is not yet with me though). I hope I don't find it to hard to care for it. Would love to get a twilly for it later too and I would like to tie it like your 30cm matte poussiere (to protect the handles too). Does it mean you have to get 2 identical twilly scarves?

Don't let my comment hinder you from enjoying your new raisin box birkin, k?? I really think it's a matter of individual preference, really. It's just that I'm the kind of person who doesn't like having any scratches on my bag, that's all. Just goes on to show how anal I am... I know that for many box lover out there, the scratches and the aging process (the beautiful patina that would develop over time) are actually the beauty of box leather. To a lot of H fans, box leather is actually THE perfect leather type of all time! As long as you love it and able to enjoy it in good health, I'd say, what the heck! It's a Birkin!!! I mean, if somebody were to give a box birkin to me for free, I'd still take it!! You know what I mean?

Now, regarding the twillys for birkins, I do use identical twillys to wrap the two handles. I honestly never tried using different twillys on one birkin bag... Call me boring I just think it's just too many colors going on at the same time if I use different twillys.

Hi Angel2307, yes, she's niloticus. Yours must be even lovelier! Wow, in 35cm porosus croco!!! It's TDF! Anyhow, what do you mean by the color change? Sorry I wasn't too clear... do you mean how the color turns out in nilo vs poro, or how the color will develop over time?

Whitebirkin, I collected my box raisin today (seller is a lovely tpf-er too) and I love it. I have sent it for a cleaning/spa though and have to wait for 3 months (the queue in Spore is longgggg) . I love its 35 size... I don't find it big at all ... and I so in with the color ...

I have heard that box leather taken care properly will last very very long, so I hope mine too ...

Now, hunting for the perfect twilly to match the raisin box, but I will take my time to choose ... Maybe be I will use 2 different one in similar color but different designs, sounds interesting this way

Btw, your daughter is sooooooo CUTEEEE, LOVEABLE, ADORABLE...
I bet with such cuteness you can never ever be angry at her ...

and your goldie, it is TDF, Congrats !

w.y.h: congrats on your new raisin baby! I'm happy to hear that you love it! See, i told you, it's all a matter of individual preference! I LOVE the color too!!! I have a Raisin in 35cm but in togo. Can't wait to see you post some action pics with your new bag! Are you sure you have to wait 3 months to have it cleaned? That's a long time... However, you can always go shopping for those perfect twillys in the meantime! I think your idea of using 2 different styles but in similar color sounds interesting! Let me know how that works out, and I might just follow your trend!

WB, i didnt realised your matte poussiere was in NILO croc...

i recall you said it was abt USD$45k from japan hermes store????

is this price accurate for a nilo birkin - as for USD$45k, i assumed we can get a poro croc birkin, no?
