Dear Ms. Whitebirkin :

I'm brand new on the block :) So amazed by your collections~ Simply heavenly :) May I ask for tips and help?? I'll be visiting Paris in August and I'm heading for the H shop the moment I land~~ What are the chances of finding the bag of my dreams??? My very first order for a 30 orange birkin in goat leather was placed april of last year, I am still waiting patiently for her to come :) I'd love to get a birkin or kelly on my trip to Paris this time~~ Any tips on how to find the special bag? Thank you so much for sharing your collection, such an inspiration~~

Thanks so much, hermesmonkey. I don't have a rouge H croco, but yes, they are very similar in color!! In fact, at first I thought mine was a rouge H, but it's actually a newer color called Bordeaux. From my observations, Bordeaux has slightly less brownish tones than rouge H; it is more deep purplish... The difference is so slight, I think many people would probably just regard it as variations in the dye-ing process.

Dear boo1689, I don't think there's any one special recipe or tips that would guarantee you getting a birkin or kelly on your trip to Paris. However, FSH in Paris is known to have the most birkins and kellys in stock, so your likelihood in getting one there is higher than if you were to walk in to an H boutique elsewhere. I think the best thing you can do is just to walk in there and try your luck. You never know... There were times when I went there and I didn't get a birkin (a kelly is much easier to get), but there were also times when I scored two birkins in two consecutive days. Just keep on trying! Best wishes to you!

The elephant key chain is really cute. Like henna all over the elephant. So ethnic looking...

WhiteBirkin I love your Kelly Elan! You and ILML are bag twins! Your aligator Kelly is marvelous! Is this your first aligator? Do you have a preference? ( I know that you just got this kelly...) I would love to know the differences between aligator and croc!! Again congrats on all your lovely bags!!!

BTW...Can you still get a Kelly Elan at Hermes? Or do you have to search for it on eBay?

boo1689: you're most welcome!

mrsS: thank you! I thought it's so 2008 "Indian Fantasy."

Queenie: I've had it for quite a while now... I won it in CDL's auction some time ago. The reason you haven't seen it is because I sent it to the spa as soon as I received it. So Ms Bordeaux is fresh from the spa...:))

Thank you, Julide! The tricolor kelly is not my first alligator, actually. I have another one, which is an 18cm shiny Miel Constance.
Personally, I do prefer croco much much better than alligator, because croco's scales tend to be smaller and more even than alligator's scales. Not only that, but alligator's scales are also more asymmetric, bolder in looks than croco's scales. Having said that, I made an exception on both my constance and my tricolor kelly, though... my love for the bag and the color overrides my preference for croco over alligator

Dear Suzie, the tricolor kelly is old! It's a vintage, actually. I bought it from a reseller.
