You're right, Princessfrog!! That's it!! Must be that lil lucky charm on my ostrich!! I didn't even notice it until you pointed that out! Maybe all of us should start carrying that H lucky charm ringchain while dreaming about our next birkins!!

Bagzgal: if you live in Asia, I personally think your best bet to get a Birkin is in Tokyo, Japan. It's a bit difficult to get one in Singapore now... unless you're already on the waitlist, or you're a VIP client there. As for Jakarta, if you have prior good relationship with the store, there's chances for you to get one, but even then, they tend to reserve the best ones for their regulars... I know this because one of my friends is a mega-fan of H (she wears no other bags other than Hermes and has tons of Kellys and Birkins and the H clutches). She also shops Hermes clothes, belts, and watches on a regular basis. She always, always get phonecalls from the store offering her the newest Birkins. Sometimes she told me about it, and when I immediately call the store asking for that particular bag she'd been offered, they either told me there's no Birkin, or they offer me something else that's not so current... Talking about preferential treatment.. I do visit the store regularly, usually to buy dogon wallets, cashmere wraps, twillys, and ringchains. I think that's why sometimes they also call me and willing to reserve something for me. But compared to my friend, she really really gets the royal treatment! In Japan, though, esp. the H store at Ginza, I've been offered Birkins several times even though they didn't know me! So, make sure you drop by the H store at Ginza if you go to Ginza!
Watta complete information, thanks a lot whitebirkin, yes I've heard that many Asian gals are addicted to this brand,too..But,who doesn't?
But,I also heard that the price in Japan is so higher than any other place in Asia..Well,I think I should try your way to be nice to the SA

whitebirkin, please share with us how you store your H collection of Birkins? Do they sit on your shelves naked? In their dustbags, or sleeping in their respective orange boxes?

Katel: Well put, just the right kind of compliments for my mood right now!!! Cheers, my friend!

Mrs.S: I store all the bags inside their coverbags, their inside stuffed with airfillers and soft wrapping papers (to preserve their shapes). I store them standing upright, with enough space between each bag. Because where I live is very humid (you know how humid it can get over here, Mrs.S! ), I put little packages of de-humidifier powders in my cabinet to absorb moisture.
I don't store them in their boxes because the boxes are big and take too much storage space.
I always wish I can leave the bags in the open without their coverbags, just like those glamorous pics of celebrity's closet in fashion mags, but it's so dusty here, I can't take the risk. Don't want anything to happen to those lil darlings...

Good thinking, whitebirkin. Dust + humidity is bad for our H babies.

whitebirkin, if you don't mind me asking since you have both 30cm and 35cm. Which do you like more and why? (reason i am asking is because I'm only 5.3" and contemplating with 35cm)

Pazt, Amandakmc, Raz96, and HK: thank you! Am happy to be able to share it with you!

Queenie: I personally like both sizes 30 and 35 equally. Many of my friends think that the 30 is too small, especially nowadays when the trend is to have big bags. Many also said to me, that because of the very small price difference, it's more worth it to get the 35 because for the same amount of money, you get a much bigger bag.

For me, each size has their "moment to shine"--so to speak . For travelling, especially to cold-weather destinations, it's good to bring the 35, because then you can put your travel documents as well as a sweater or wrap and also your ipod ... And..still have space to bring some snacks (I love to bring munchies when travelling)!!!
Size 30, because of its smaller size, is naturally lighter in weight, so it's easier to maneuver (excuse the lack of a better word) your way around when you go shopping and have to carry your own shopping bags, plus a 2.5yr-old DD on the other arm !! It's also great paired with summer dresses or when you go for occasions in the evening.
So all in all, I think it's good to have both sizes!

whitebirkin - I think I don't need the four leaf clover - I need a money tree instead!! I agree with you on the humidity and dust that is deadly to the Hermes leather. Have you tried a dehumidifier? I use a standing one in my walk-in closet - it's rather small but the dehumidifier is a 5L storage (18L per day through-put) and it keeps that room dry but not dust-free. My home is very very humid the worst ever, when I first used it, it became full within 3 hrs! Now, it's much better, every 2 days I empty the dehumidifier.

Good suggestion, princessfrog! I should use a dehumidifier... Will try to look for a compact one soon!

Anybody here owns a vibrato birkin? I'm thinking of getting one... Any pros and cons? Please post pics... Thks!!
