She's perfect for me as I love the hands-free option and she fits nice and snug under my arm not to mention she travels completely incognito. I have named her Simone.

BlueGenes, lfg, miss piggy - Thank you for the kind words.

Ernskie - Thanks for the kind words and hang in there. Your dream bag is on its way, I know it!

Kelly_Birkin - I agree with everyone else. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself to something special twice in one month. Your posts show that you really work hard for and appreciate the things you have so I bet you have given this purchase a lot of consideration before asking folks on tPF. If you see something that sings to you and you can pay cash, GO FOR IT!!!

Kely_Birkin - I too agree with everyone else. You should give yourself some much needed love and a little something to crown your achievements. IMO, as long as you have the means to pay for it and doesn't put you into debt, by all means I say... buy, buy, buy!

valencia - Thanks for the encouragement. Someday it will be mine. It might take a long time but eventually I'll get there. Hopefully before it gets out of reach with all this talk about price increases! (Hhhhmm... I wonder if they would make a croc Steve bag. Yeah right!)

I meant to type 8/1...maybe that was an
unconscious slip.

Eulalia, It's odd. Most of us can buy make-up
and clothes, etc. by the truckload, but when it
comes to other more expensive items, we put the
brakes on.

allan, I can afford it. :) I'd never consider
it otherwise. But I do have to charge it, as
I don't have a Hermes nearby.

Valencia, Thank you for the kind words.
Yes, I've been thinking
about this item since I've seen it.

miss piggy & Ernie, Thanks for voting
as well. :)

WOW!!! I need to hang out in here, everyone is so supportive and not enabling... too much!! I'm new to H and have been contemplating my first purchase. There's certainly a lot to take in, and I'm learning, but not in any immediate hurry as there isn't anything that I greatly need!! But, must admit I've not been drawn to anything as much as H, and I've never touched the leathers irl yet!!

valencia, Congrats on your first H purchase!! It looks stunning!! How did you decide on your first purchase??

Kelly_Birkin, I agree that when buying bigger purchases, you have to put a lot more thought into it, as there are so many other areas that either take priority, or where it can be put ie; holiday, savings etc....Think with your head, rather than your heart, and if it tells you it's fine, then GO FOR IT!!

I used to be like that but as I got older, I learned to hold back on the unnecessary quickie purchases that I know won't last me long..so I started to save up and buy things I really love whether expensive or cheap... that's how I was able to save up for my bag addiction..KellyBirkin, it sounds like you really like this item, I suggest go for it and treat yourself.. the price increase justifies it plus you have the funds for it

H is such an addiction I swear.. I'm already planning my next purchase... The Secret in Action!!!

Tash1 - Welcome!! And thanks for the kind words. Spotted the Market Bag in the H in action thread and immediately knew it would be a great bag for me because of the hands-free option. Honestly can not recall how I spotted it on eBay but when I did, it sang to me. The price was uber cheap (as far as H items go) and when the authenticators gave the , I couldn't press that "Buy Now" button fast enough.

Be forewarned! Once you experience H bag craftmanship up close and in person, you'll be hooked. I know I am!!

Tash,

Please promise me the next time you make it to AMS that we meet up and pop in to H for what I call a scratch and sniff visit. I do that a lot!! No pressure, just touch and feel the leathers, and when the SA isn't looking a deep sniff.

Valencia, congratulations on the market bag. It's so classic and very versatile from what I've seen of others posted. I think the strap can be worn short or long, correct?
I saw one on a lady in Palm Beach and it was so casual, yet still classy.

Tash, Hi! Thanks for your advice. :)

lfg, I am all about justifying purchases. *lol*
And here's another one: As "seniors", it is mandatory
to attend a few extern meetings that are sprinkled
throughout the term. The first one was yesterday.
The second one, is all about networking at a local
restaurant! Our program directors will be there
as well as some business people from the community.
We are getting graded on this....and it totally justifies
this purchase.

Ernie, a Steve bag in Croc - would be stunning!! :)

It's nice to come back here for comfort... it's like a nice warm and fuzzy H blanket. I just feel sad with all these price increases coming up. I've been lurking in the thread about the new Jypsiere bags. It seems that it could work as a men's messenger bag, the larger one that is. It looked good on JPG. However, if it's priced like the Birkin, like some tPFer's said, then it's out of my league.

Well, at least there will always be the support group.

Hey Tash1! Welcome to the group!

Kelly_Birkin - a Steve bag in croc with diamonds... now that would be??? Gosh, I don't even have the words for it. That would certainly be worthy of a modelling pose like Pharell!
