Jewelweed, I can enable you big-time!

In the cadena range, I love the pegasus, lotus, and shooting star.

In the keyrings, I love the four leaf clover, horseshoe, the amour
heart, the lemon, the panda, someone here had a cute
snowman for wintertime. There are so many options. :)

And don't forget the twillies and scarves!! Legit
resellers offer these as well. :)

allan, I believe we will! Annual (sometimes more often)
price increases be darned.

littlesnowflake, I have my whole weekend planned
of how I want my first experience at my local
Alaska to be. How "sad" is that? *LOL*
I heard the shop just went corporate, I hope
that means good things!

candy, you can still buy a twilly online.
Good luck!

I haven't entered an H store either. To make it less sad, I planned a whole weekend of going to FSH. I'm so lucky to be living near Paris (2-hour plane ride to Charles de Gaulle airport).

allan, a first boutique visit and at the Mothership at that would be a whole other experience!

I remember an episode of an old sitcom where the
character, who didn't have a lot of money, decided to follow a dream
she had and just for the heck of it just go to Paris for a weekend!

I just have to say that I would dearly LOVE an Etoupe Birkin or 35 Black Clemence Birkin but I don't think that I will EVER be able to afford to spend that amount of money on a bag!!!

I deeply envy all of you who have, clearly, enough money to spend thousands on a bag and if any of you wish to donate your Hermes to a worthy cause - I AM ONE!!!!!! all Hermes donations gratefully received!!!!! Ha! (I think I might be waiting for a very long time)

Kelly_Birkin, the wait certainly gives us time to dream. It will make the purchase all the more sweeter.

Ali, no funds for a birkin or Kelly, but I am willing to cut out allother bag purchases for a year to save for a Kelly. Maybe a little treat now and then.

Have anybody check out www.Bluefly.com??? are those Hermes Real?? or Faux?

Miss Piggy, are you saving for a Birkin? I think if I save for 2 years I can get a Birkin but I don't have that restraint plus I love the Kelly a little more so it's just a year of savings for me. Thank goodness!

I don't think even on a purse ban for 2 years (yeah right! like I'd ever manage that!) I would be able to have one. I mean, the one I want is 4 grand!!!!! I know they are handmade, lovely leather etc etc but at the end of the day it is 'just a bag' and paying £4,000 for a handbag is a bit extreme don't you think? £1,000 yeah but not 4.

Don't get me wrong - I would LOVE a Hermes (or two, or three.....) and if I had millions £ then I would get them but at the moment, I can't justify spending the price of a small car on a small'ish' piece of leather to hold stuff in!

At the moment, I'll stick to my LV, Mulberry and Coach I think. I'll try and save for a Hermes but for the meantime I'll just dream and droul over the photos of other people's bags.

littlesnowflake, there are advantages to waiting!
My list for my first orange box changes all the time...right now,
(thanks to Kallie Girl's thread in the shopping section) I'm drooling
over the Kelly Secret journal! I just wish I could see the inside, to see
if there's a little pocket on the side. If I stop buying my vice of
beauty items right now, I might have enough saved up.

And if I don't, I know I'll have enough for a scarf or 2
Twillies. :)

Tatiana, Welcome! I don't think Hermes guarantees what is sold
on BlueFly. You might want to do a search on BlueFly (Hermes
forum). And I don't think the items come in an orange box.

Hermès made me do it

Hello everyone! It's nice reading this thread. I posted here once about my dream Steve bag. Like Ali-bagpuss, it's hard for me to drop $7,000 for the bag and justify it. I'm in a dilemma right now since my partner and I are going to New York in August and I was really thinking of getting this bag. That is, if I come up with the money. Even if I had the money (which I don't) all this wait is making me think whether I should or shouldn't get the bag. We live comfortably but we're not rich so any of the H items I dream of, I have to save up for it. In all reality, I probably would be able to afford a nice agenda or notebook and other smaller items but that's pretty much it. Add to this, the looming price increase in August will probably price me out.

I also dream of getting the beautiful H blanket, just the wool and cashmere though. Not the one where they use the fur of specially bred French rabbits which costs around $30,000!

Aaahhh, it's always nice to dream...

Ernie, I'd go for it! If you're going to use it as a workhorse bag, it will pay for itself in no time. Yes, Hermes is expensive, no doubt about that, and regular price increases really hurt us lower on the economic scale, but, just keep saving!

No one should be denied the chance to dream,
and the reality to see it come true. :)
