and i kind of agree with kelly_birkin... sometimes if you let go for awhile, you'll be surprised at how quickly circumstances swing your way. i've been everywhere on the financial scale, from nearly homeless to flush with cash, just because of circumstances beyond my control. i stopped trying to control things, but made sure to maintain savings for emergencies and insure everything, and set a little bit side so i could fund things that made me happy (bags, dinners out, whatever). happy birthday, by the way
