bagpunk, There are some legit websites out there that sell vintage
H bags, and of course, that is not counting the brick and mortar places.

my best friend gave me this little piggybank.
and did the little label herself:)
both of us has one each. and we are supposed to feed "little hippo" (nickname) every now and then.
Due to frequent visit to H-clinic for prescriptions, it has resulted in Hungry Hippo Sympton

I hope to be able to feed little hippo more often

Kelly_Birkin, nice to see you here too, glad things are going well Hope to see some clic-clacs in your closet in 2010!

robee, love that! LOL... The hippo does look hungry My mom (years ago) had given me a little jar with shoe charms all over it, had "the shoe fund" painted on the front

robee, that's a cute bank. :)

pug*, thanks. :) Hopefully, the next time
a bunch of tpf'ers want to meet at the KoP mall,
I'll be able to attend. I don't want to go to
the H boutique alone for my first time
there. :)

For my kelly bags, I believe Perlere ? or someone wise in kelly bags said somewhere on this forum that 1990's was a great decade for kelly bags in terms of craftsmanship. Perhaps look at Ode to Kelly. I really have to say my 1950's porc is just more finely made than my 1985 BBK. In the 1950's bag, there were no zippered pockets on the interior which I like better and Hermes is engraved on both arms. Maddoz alerted me to the porc from Luxury-shops in Finds. But, I have no problem buying preowned either -- I am a more is more kind of gal. If you are uncertain, you can always do a search on discuss resellers or authenticate this or finds thread.

certainly a good reason for buying pre-loved! I agree, H is addictive and expensive to indulge. I think, with limited funds, pre-loved is the way to go. I exhausted my one H piggy bank awhile bank. Now a little hand to mouth....
