I work full time and study part time and it is really hard work, lol! I am also in the field of education sunfire, and it is one rewarding job and I love it even though at times it can stress you out big times! Good luck with your Phd and Masters!

Eta. I don´t have kids nor do I have a DH, I do have a DD though (darling dad, lol)! If I had had a family there is no way I would have been able to work full time and studying part time!

Does anyone ever push their H bag dreams aside for whatever
reason? I had fun with the philosophy shows on QVC this weekend. I love their bath products and I share them with my sister. I feel like I have to wait to be able to indulge in Hermes, but I can order my favorite bath products right NOW. :)

But, I will get my Bolide someday. :)

I am very stressed right now... which makes me want to buy Hermes. I'm selling so many of my non-H bags - I really need/want a black w/ GHW Hermes Birkin/HAC/or maybe even Kelly.

I have made a deal with myself. I'm too broke to buy anything right now, but I should have a new job in August. When I lose 15 lbs I will buy another bag (that should give me a while to save)!.

I'm a full time student right now - getting my first degree in both human resources and entrepreneurial business. I plan on getting my masters in fashion school soon after I graduate with my BA.

Ideally, I would love to get an Hermes Birkin or Kelly in 28 or 30cm (I'm tiny, I don't really want a bag that overwhelms me) for my graduation present from getting either my BA or Masters. I am hoping that it will be in black or a type of brown/camel/cream color. I'm not as savvy as many of the ladies on here about Hermes but I do admire how well Hermes handbags finished off an ensemble.

I currently don't have anything Hermes. =( I hope to get a belt and scarf maybe for christmas and my birthday.

I think realistically, I look like a 16 year old and the kelly & birkin look too mature for me for right now. After I graduate from fashion school, I'll probably be getting married and the money I could be spending on an Hermes birkin or kelly could be used towards the payment on the wedding or a down payment on a house in my dream neighborhood in the city I grew up in. It's not my dream house, I hope to buy enough property in the neighborhood and build my true dream house. =D BUT soon enough, maybe when I'm married will I get my Hermes. =)

kelly_birkin, i do hee hee....

lilobubbletea, i think i know how you feel. the elegance of kelly or birkin has thus far been unsuitable to my daily style of living and also my whole appearance. now that i am older and mellowed down a little (i think ) i thought it is perhaps the right time to start looking at one. but, with age come sense too unfortunately, so that in momentary laps of insanity i started thinking that perhaps i should use any funds i have to expand my investment portfolio instead. i use to be like you planning all my life ahead of time. but then i realized that nothing ever goes according to plan in life, so you might as well not get to too tied up in the all the destinations - especially those others expect of you! - and just enjoy the ride! you still have *at least* 20 years to get your first H surely! they are such classic and timeless you can always wait! get that house and husband first

mcloverly, good on ya for your resolve! i am sure you will get there soon! i am sure gals here can be counted on for moral support!

robee, it is so lovely to hear that you are enjoying your kids. i'm in two minds about my life sometimes, i am so looking forward to grad school, and yet i realize that i will miss the non-student lifestyle that i have now too, all those lovely and delicate things you can wear and carry. you can't have them all i guess...

can't have all at the same time, but most important, have it before

we just have to move on at different stages of life

just like we move on from a birkin, to kelly, to evelyne, lindy etc

Sunfire, i'm with you all the way...
Ok, I'm a bagaholic/hermesoholic but quite broke since I bought my dreamhouse a few months ago...I do have a DH and a DD (5months old) and DS(4yrs old) and my priority these ^past months was to take care of my kids and go back to work as fast as possible to lessen the financial burden...Well, now that's done! So, I'm focusing on some rewards...first, not a bag but my watch in a few weeks...Then starting from september, if everything goes swell, I'll start my saving up for a Birkin 35 or 40 in gold clemence?? It could take years, but hopefully not too long...I've decided to have only a few bags (no more impulse buying...uhhum) but really good for keeping and passing down to lil Charlotte (my DD!)

Lilobubbletea, Bagpunk, I love the kelly 28 sellier for jeans lifestyle and I love vintage prices. I got my first one BBK sellier 28 (1985) from akiko1120 for 2K usd in November 2008 and my second porc sellier 28 (1950's) from luxury-shops for 1600 usd in Feb 2009. I'm in my forties. But it can be quite a young look. I've posting pics of sellier kelly with jeans all over the forum and I love the miroslava thread and the look of the decade (century) for inspiration - my fav pic is dodo2005? pic. hang on I will find some of my pics = my BBK has a potiron togo leather thick strap for more casual look.

mcloverly, hope the stress subsides soon! kelly birkin, hugs!
