So originally I wanted a red Kelly. Then I wanted a Barenia Kelly. I ened up buying 3 Birkins in just a few month.... I'm insane! My handbag fund is now totally gone so I'm selling off some of my non-H bags.

I want a red Birkin and a barenia Birkin, but I really need a black w/GHW Birkin. None of my bags are basic and I'm selling off my only two black bags to save for Hermes. I also really want a cashmere shawl in Jeux D' Ombres black/white/orange or perhaps a black/natural Ex Libris.

Now for the selling and saving...

I saved for one for years - I could never bring myself to spend so much on one item. The bug is bad though... I bought my first and then the second and third came soon after. I purchased them all gently used from top resellers. On two of them I really couldn't distinguish them from brand new. I did split up a couple of the bags into two payments which made it easier to swallow.

The first was a Parchemin Clemence GHW JPG Birkin
The second Potiron Chevre GHW 25 Birkin
The third Blue Jean Box brushedPHW 35 Birkin

I need to borrow my DBF's camera and do a reveal. Admittedly, a good chunk of the money came from my car. I saved for a new car and totaled it driving off the dealership lot. Insurance gave me a bit over what I paid for it. Since Hermes holds it's value better than a new Mercedes anyway I spent some of the money on things I really enjoy and I'll buy a less expensive car

I know what you mean. I must admit, before I was bitten by the H. bug I've always said that I'd never pay so much money for just one bag.
And look at me now, I'm saving for my first H.

I really love the croc Birkins and Kelly's. I can only dream about them, because they're really out of my budget but I always enjoy the beautiful pictures of croc Birkins and Kelly's here on TPF.
So my first H. bag is probably going to be a Graphite Ostrich Kelly in 28 or 32 or a 30 or 35 Birkin in Graphite, Rouge G, Vermillion Swift or a Blue Jean. Don't know yet.

And you're so right, I'd do the same. I'd rather buy some H. bags and drive a less expensive car as well. Like you said, H. holds it's value definitely better than a car. If you take care of it, a H. bag is a bag for live.

Yes, I'd love to see a reveal of your beautiful bags, so if you can borrow a camera, please do a reveal, I love H. reveals

hi everyone! been a tpf member for a few years now. i own mostly chanel, lv and balenciaga bags. now, i want to go big time and save for my first hermes. in the past, i would stray and buy other brands but from now on, i want to keep my eyes on the prize and really save for my first birkin (or kelly). please wish me luck. :)
