Hello, I'd like to join! I am dying for a Picotin, too. ![]() It will be my first H bag. I am thinking of getting it once the new H boutique opens in San Diego, that way, I'll have time to save. |

Okay, I have a confession to make, I don't know how I got myself into this bag craving craziness and start to dream for something that I cannot afford!!! DH has been very supportive and has blessed me with a few LVs, a prada and a miu miu in the past. However, my dream of having a Kelly bag is completely non-realistic and makes me very guilty!!! I guess it'd be okay to accept that I don't have to own everything I want. I think it's dumb to spend all my savings on a purse while I should keep myself gounded! One day If I am lucky enough to see a reasonable 2nd hand 28cm Kelly than I could become a lucky owner of H! you never know!
Thanks for all of your great sharings!! |

tulip, I know that if I sit and think about how much H items actually cost, I'd never want one. That's why it's best to think, we work hard, we deserve it, and if we can afford to treat ourselves, why not? But, if I ever told family and friends how much these bags are, they'd never understand.
I hope you get your Kelly! :)

You're so right on about second hand though....I'm hoping that I can score a great vintage birkin one of these days. Maybe I'll treat myself after I finish law school. I'll live vicariously through all the fab collections of the TPF ladies......

KellyB and Doubtful, thanks for the warm welcome!
I have a confession: my first love was the Lindy. It was just hard for me to justify because for that price, why not get a Kelly? So, I thought I wanted a Picotin (still do) but I can't really deny my *true* feelings. I think I'll switch and save up for a Lindy (gulp) because even if it is similar in price to a Kelly, I would use my Lindy everyday, whereas a Kelly would be a dress-up bag. Sigh, you always remember your first love!

I loved the idea of the Lindy, but I got to try one on and it was just too boxy for me. I think it was mainly the size though, it was a huge one. I haven't decided which style I will settle on, but I'll have a lot of time to think about it.

chigirl, Getting a H bag as a treat for surviving
and graduating from law school would be wonderful. :)
ChocoGrace, The Lindy is a good choice too. :) However, there are many pictures of some of the ladies here carrying their Kelly's in the casual style. :) |

Doubtful, call me crazy, but I have yet to try the Lindy on, myself! LOL The closest H boutique so far is an hour away. Can't wait until I meet one IRL, though!
Kelly_Birkin, good point! I definitely can't wait until I can afford both! With my budget these days, my first H bag is definitely going to have to be a casual one. I tell you, this whole waiting/saving/hunting process drives me nuts but it's still a delicious thrill! |
