Default Hermes scarf advice

Hello all,
I have acquired an Hermes scarf from a friend of mine. It's never been used, and authentic. It's never been taken out of the box, except just now when I photographed it. He's a flight attendant for Northwest and this particular scarf was an exclusive in-flight on-board duty free sale.

Can anyone tell me anything about it? I don't know much about Hermes.
I see it has a signature on it; I can't make it out, but it looks like it might say "Jacques" something on it.
Is there a name for this scarf?

It's 90cm x 90 cm square.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ellynad,

I think there are TPF-ers specialised in authentication and they might answer your question.

I have the 'normal, Boutique version' of the scarf. Same design, but a lighter background color. The name is Casse- Noisette. There is no signature on mine.

Good luck in finding your answer.

Thanks!
Actually, after a bit more research, I found a little more info on it.
It's by Antoine de Jacquelot, and the pattern is Casse-Noisette, which is prnted on the scarf.
If anyone else has any useful info, that would be great!

You showed the name in one of your pics - CASSE NOISETTE. the artist of the design is Antoine de Jacquelot. the scarf was first introduced in 1997 and it looks like a authentic scarf from that period to me. I've seen the colorway before many times.

Just go ahead and enjoy your beautiful scarf.

Thanks so much!
I wish I could keep it, but my friend is strapped for cash right now, so he wants me to sell it for him on eBay.
I just wanted to confirm its authenticity and the details about it first.

I had a feeling that was the situation. Next time, please use the Authentication Thread for all things Hermes here like everyone else:

Authenticate This Hermes
