Aw - poor Brooke!

Twinkie doesn't seem to be scared of them. This is the first time in years I haven't had a fireworks adverse dog.

My neighbors are super quiet EXCEPT when there's even the smallest excuse for fireworks. Somehow, a dozen cars appear in their driveway and they set them off all night. I live outside the city limits so I guess all their in-town friends come over.

Ugh.

my stepbrother came back with a sprain from squash camp straight to parents place outside the city. My mom had to take him to the emergency room and had no idea where the insurance card information was - so called me in the city to find it. She was like, can you believe he did this to me. . . (made her stay in the hospital for three hours on a friday night). She is stressed because he has to have crutches on his flight to beijing (six week immersion program). I said, OMG, I feel so sorry for him. Then she said (in all seriousness) "why do you feel sorry for him". LOL.

IL, never opened my bottle of prednisone for that reason.

Pugs, hope baby brother is behaving :)

MargieB, I am so excited for you! We'll do indian food when you come back to visit! Good luck on the grant.

EH, I am really envious about your mexican grocer.

MindiB, since you have a prior relationship with the GC, can you say the sub seems to be venting his frustration on you and you are worried that this will adversely affect the work. Can you say nicely to the sub please speak to the GC whom you hired the GC to manage these issues.

I know why you want to wait, but I feel that unless people are told in a timely basis (like right after they have done something wrong) they just don;t get it or are in denial. People do not understand that certain things are their problem, not the clients lol.

Okay, ladies, I'm having people over to grill out, and I am doing shrimp skewers and hot dogs, plus potato salad and a few dips. Do you think I need to add hamburgers? DH seems to think so, but my burgers always end up shriveled like hockey pucks, so I didn't plan for them. Plus I've got enough hot dogs to feed a small army (they were on sale, I couldn't help it!). Any thoughts?

Can't beat grilled burgers!!! Just have a little bit out, if I were you... Coz I think burgers and the fourth goes together so well.

Hi OB.. Just IMO, there are always peeps in BBQ parties who prefers burgers vs dogs, so you want to have a few hanging around?

But hey, it's your party so you can always tell peeps that you only serve dogs & shrimp skewers.. It's perfectly fine.

BBQ sounds delicious!
