i LOVE coffee ~ but hot only! and i can't stand anything coffee flavored. in fact, coffee ice cream is THE only flavor that i won't touch even if there's no other kind. double blech.
Me too! Coffee-flavored things are nasty! Especially coffee candy! And I only like "plain ol' cuppa joe" kind of coffee. Black. If I go to Starbucks, I get the mocha and it's not like coffee to me - it's like a sweet treat. And the stuff in Europe? Can't do it. I go around everywhere asking if anyone knows where I can get "drip coffee" which is what they call it.

Tonight I am going to close the windows, put on the AC, play a movie or whatever to drown out the sound as much as possible. But I won't leave the house at all, so she will be ok.

IL, we order coffee online from a place in Austin, Anderson's coffee. Love love love their coffee, and we don't go for flavored coffee either, just strong hot coffee. Go check it out.

Thanks XX! (and calicocat and lil_fashionista) Just jeans and a black sweater. When I wear the Bal, I feel like an old woman trying to be a teeny-bopper. LOL!

Headache seems to be (knock on wood) gone for now. Thanks IG.

SO and I are going to a movie (matinee probably) and then we're staying in. We were thinking of taking the boat out to anchor and watch the fireworks but decided against it. It's too hot and the waters are too crowded with everyone else doing the same thing. Plus I don't know how Twinkie will react for sure. Thunderstorms don't bother her at all but on the boat with the sky raining colors and the noise up close, I just don't know for sure.

aww, poor mille.

i'm such a party pooper - i HATE the 4th. bonnie is deathly afraid of thunder and lightning, but for some reason not fireworks, at which she just barks (and barks. and barks. and barks).

but i always worry that someone is going to get too close to the horses and scare them into hurting themselves - they don't seem to care when they're accross the street or over the hill, but you never know when some idiot is going to get an idea to do something stupid. or cruel. so my smith & wesson and i always stay home on the 4th, even when hubby goes to a pic nic.

and you know what REALLY pisses me off? i live just over the border from PA, and that state decided it was OK to allow fireworks shops as long as they only sold to out-of-staters! so where are all the shops? right on the state line, of course. NJ folks cross the delaware and take the first exit to the fireworks warehous and then come back to NJ where they're illegal. grrrrrr.

Thanks! Well, I drink coffee at home AND at a lot of little cafes. I don't want to get spoiled to something too yummy and then not want cafe coffee anymore! I am already picky/spoiled enough. LOL!

That is horrible. Why can't people simply go watch a prefessional display rather than annoying everyone with their own little show?

I pretty much dislike all holidays except St. Patrick's Day. It's the only one where no one expects anything, no one is disappointed, no outrageous amounts of money have to be spent and it's just a celebration.
