Thanks for all the thoughts on my student. I did take your advice and also point him toward some of the resources offered by the school.

I wonder how he made it this far, as I'm not teaching a freshman level class....

Mindi, Cbella--Magic is the same way when I try to dry off her paws. Silly dog!

Sounds like you did all you could, CK. How's the new house? Are you loving your heated floors & pot filler? Do you have snow yet? My parents are in a neighboring state & it is snowy & icy & very cold there.

Well girls, I'm off. The Cap'n's latest session of swimming lessons begins today, so we are off to Otters class.

[I'll be reading as I wait, so please have lively & entertaining conversations while I'm gone!]

CK, I hope your student gets the help he needs, it sounds like you did all you could. I hope the settling into the new house is going well, we cannot wait to see the potfiller in action!

Hi everyone!

Back among the living.

I SO lucked out with Twinkie! She couldn't care less if it's raining, drizzling, or "a-comin' a gulley-washer" she wants to play, fetch the frisbee or whatever. And when it's time to come in after a dip in the pool or a romp in the rain, she sits at the door and waits for me to towel her off - face, legs, paws, tummy, everything. So patient!

Dang I love that dog!

And last night, she just kept coming up and giving me doggie hugs. She does this cute little thing where she gets about a foot from you, sits down and scoots right up to you on her butt until she is right in between your legs and puts her head in the crook of your neck and just puts all her weight into you.

Oh, IL, I love Twinkie and I haven't even met her. I want a Twinkie-hug! She's amazing. . . but so are you, and that's why she loves you so. Glad you're feeling better!

IL glad you are feeling better.

Welcome back LaLa, for the little time I've been on I missed you and your posts.

CK, I agree I would suggest talking to student advisor and/or counselor, but I agree with all that LaLa said and ATG

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could have a central Twinkie/Chat meet when Candace and Jason come home??? That way, when I fall apart after giving her back, y'all can pick up the pieces.

I had no idea I would get this attached!

Twinkie would be in heaven with all the Chat love. LOL!

Move in is going well. The only missing item is my socks. I'm going serious sock hunting tonight. I thought I had looked everywhere, but I'll look again. We are loving the house, and it's really starting to feel like home!

Yes, we have snow. Not too much left on the ground, but we got a few inches yesterday. It is still unseasonably cold. I love crisp, sunny fall days--not icy, snowy ones!! We are expecting a warm up this weekend!
