There was a great gift card with purchase (so when I get the card I will get a [basically] free green tourmaline and pink sapphire Elizabeth Locke ring. It's already on hold. )

So here she is: Elizabeth Locke (Extra large) Volterra Chain. I am also wearing it with a Locke Antique Cameo drop.

Speechless!!! I have been a huge fan of EL for a long time! This is an amazing piece. The chain *swoon* the cameo *swoon* Wear it with much happiness!

I am a sucker for cameos in general. Love them!

This is really pretty EB!!! Congratulations!!! and answering............

I don't think of myself as a cookbook collector, but if I see a group has put one together I will go through it and if there is one thing I really like, I will buy the book. Not big books but the small books put together by smaller collective organizations (where my DM lives they put together a book with great recipies for entertaining).

hi peeps!!!

ATG, what a fun party!!! May the force be with you!!
Fabulous light saber has your husband, and weilding it skillfully he is!!
And wonderful it is, a friend who will in Darth Vadar attire dress.

EB!!! WOWZA!! gorgeous!!

Thanks for the support of YG!!!!!!
Supporting me in supporting YG is very helpful, believe me.

He said he is going to cut all ties with her until she is healthy. He is going to give her one more chance to give him his belongings and then thats it.

One thing that creeped me out is that she said to him during their fight: "cobaltblu knows what she did and now she has to pay. she should never have called the police. she has to pay." I cannot believe I have to go to mediation with these people. I am going to ask for security.

Oh, DD said the SAT was easy, though admitted that she totally blew the essay since she had no time for coffee this morning. hmmm....I will let you know in a couple of weeks if her rigorous 5 or 6 hours of studying and prep paid off. she is not a studier.

good thing she decided against leaving the state, LOL!

Don't worry CB - I was not a "studier" either. I either get it or I don't. I read what I was supposed to and usually more and listened in class and did the work, but I rarely studied. I guess I was too lazy and I really never learned HOW to study properly. I liked school though. Except math. <shudder>

She's got a great brain and common sense and if you ask me, someone without those things can study until they're blue and never rise to her level. And I doubt that she totally blew the essay. I always ended up with As when I thought I blew something that involved writing. And when I prepped and wrote and re-wrote and fine-tuned etc., I would get a B or even a C. Finally I learned when I "winged it" I did much better.

thanks IL!!!

well, she said when she re-read the essay, it was "total crap." LOL!!! she basically said she wrote the same thing three different ways.

It was something about whether it is selfish to follow your own desires even if it means you are helping others. she thought it was a lame topic. i tried to get into a discussion about it and pretty much got shot down. LOL. the big kiss off.

Cavalier Girl I hope you have a fantastic time! We have never been to Urbanna but we have enjoyed Kilmarnock and Irvington, (lol those might not be as close as I am imagining them to be, I am horrible with maps/directions ), we had a couple of great antique finds there.

Raz - how lucky your boys are, I bet they all have a grand time! Your Pip is adorable!

Cblu - I don't know the story, but it sounds like you are an angel to someone in need, the world is a better place because of people like you! I must say I do like IL's approach to the situation!

A-T-G your party sounds so cool! My sister would have loved an invite, she has stood in line to be at the first showing of every Star Wars!

EB your necklace is gorgeous!

THUDDDDD!!! Congrats, EB!!! It's gorgy, and it looks gorgy on you. And congrats on the free tourmaline and pink sapphire ring, lol. Looooove it when that happens.

I'm a huge EL fan, and I've been absolutely dying for a huge gold bracelet like this necklace. I checked into getting a gold chaine d'ancre, but I can't overcome the 12K price tag for it. Do you know if your chain comes in a bracelet size? Is it super heavy?

Hi Chat peeps!! It's another day of babysitting bad puppies and stuffing envelopes for me, but I'll be sitting here waiting for updates of everyone else's exciting life.

MISSING Y'ALL

My battery is running low (new extension cord in the mail)

Must type fast

Awesome Shabbes

Walking to my friend's house yesterday when I saw a tall Chassidic man on the road. Wished him a Good Shabbes. He asked me if I were the Rebbetzin, I said no, her friend. I asked him what his name was, and he said Matisyahu.

Only later do I find out that he is THE Matisyahu, a famous Chassidishe Hip Hop. I HAVE his CDs. I just didnt recognize him. (I done tole you Im a geek). Later after Shabbes, my new friend Linda and I went to hear him practice before his concert.

Morning ladies!!!

GK, Thanks, love the new necklace. I am still swooning over your new Kelly. I've seen that crinoline on a big Victoria bag and thought it was the most gorgeous crinoline I had ever seen.

Cobalt, Hugs. I am sure DD did will on the SATs. But the time period between junior year in high school and college acceptance is so stressful, to say the least.

EH, I love small regional cookbooks, too. I love cookbooks in general.

Thanks Laney!

GGA, Thanks. I think they make a bracelet version of my necklace. They also have other chunky bracelets too that are really nice. I think they are probably in the 8K range right now. But all the gold pieces are going to go up at least 10% in January. With gold closing in at $1100 an ounce, that makes sense.

Margie, You did have an awesome shabbes!!!! Matisyahu, how cool is that!!! LOL getting Kosher meat at the Piggly Wiggly.

Samindriani, Welcome to chat. If you can find what you want at a reputable re-seller at a fair price, go for it. Or you can keep trying Hermes till you find what you love. There is a thread on reputable resellers in the Hermes shopping section.
