I am so hard on shoes too IL. My only pricey pair (Hermes) held up well thru the summer. I want some pretty CLs or something but I just can't for some reason bring myself to pay for them when I know I'm gonna trip and scuff them within minutes.

BTW, the suede jacket, my furrier cleaned it and it came out great. I didn't know he cleans suede but he did an amazing job so I'm pleased, I finally just got it back this week.

Hi Chat Pack! I've just surfaced after an insane week trying to make up for our printer's delay in getting our biggest fundraising event invitations to me. They should have been out yesterday. We got about 500 of the 1800 we need out in last night's mail. We got all of the invitations folded and stuffed with reply cards, though. I think we'll finish by Monday (hopin'hopin'hopin...)

I think I want to spend my Saturday sleeping, knitting, and watching 30 Rock on DVD.

And EB! Congrats on the closet shopping!! After seeing mention of turquoise earrings (two of my favorite things in the world: Turquoise and earrings), I had to go find pics. You're gorgeous! Those earrings are fab, too, although not as fab as you.

I am the most useless knitter. The person who taught me taught me incorrectly. Which I didn't realize until someone scrutinized a sweater I made. The only sweater I've ever made. She stared at the stitches and finally asked, "What are these??" I said gingerly, "Knit one, purl one?" She finally determined I had purled all the stitches backwards.

I went back to needlepoint after that!

I saw these shoe storage options in the SkyMall magazine, and thought of you. I don't know if you found a solution for your shoe storage yet, but it is worth a look if you haven't.

My DH built me some similar to the "Shoe Warehouses" and I love them. Mine are built in, but these look portable - a plus, I think.
