Congrats on your purchases Queenie!

I'm glad you love our city.

I hope you get to check out Lindt Cafe (locations - http://www.lindt.com.au/1/6.asp) as the chocolate is heaps better than Max Brenner IMO, and we are the only one in the whole world that has this cafe. Don't forget to get an Iced Milk Chocolate for your 3 yo there!. It is TDF.

Thanks for sharing all those photos Queenie! I'm glad you and your DH and DS are really enjoying your stay in Sydney! The picotin is gorgeous, looks perfect in ciel!!

Hehe... yes, the smell of Hermes leather is so ingrained into it even stinky tofu or a BBQ won't overpower the natural smell of Hermes leather :)

Please keep us updated!

queenie, a fantastic choice for a Picotin! Ciel is so beautiful and so good of you to take a comparison shot with your Blue Jean Birkin. So smart of you! It must go into the Blue Reference thread.

I love Sydney too. All of it.

Yes, the place is no frills but it's a MUST TRY place for its congee, the BEST I've ever tasted, anywhere!! Back in my university days, it was a place to head to after a long night of clubbing (esp in winter) LOL!

I have a bit of time waiting for DH and thought I share with you this really fabulous cake shop, Sweet Art.

Look at these unique cake designs! If you’re in Sydney, take the time to stop in to Sweet Art in Paddington. Sorry my pictures don't do justice to them, please visit their webby for details.

I really like this one, never seen a wedding cake like this before!

Queenie,

U visited "SweetArt" cake shop, I dunno if notice there is this big giant doll which is actually half icing cake for celebrating Barbie turns 50 in Sydney a while ago

Here is the news:

Barbie turns 50 in style

9th March 2009, 14:15 WST

She doesn’t look a day older than 21, but Barbie is celebrating her 50th birthday in style.
The world-famous doll’s big day was celebrated in Australia at an event overlooking Sydney Harbour today.
Australian fashion designer Alex Perry, jewellery designer Stefano Canturi and hairdresser Joh Bailey collaborated with Sweet Art bakers to create an edible 2.1-metre-tall Barbie sculpture.
In their elaborate creation, a mannequin was clad in a couture gown of iced cake topped with coiffure and accessories.
A 50th anniversary Barbie doll was launched to celebrate the icon’s half century.
The limited edition doll wears a champagne silk party dress with layers of gold tulle.
Forever Barbie, an exhibition of Barbie’s evolving look over the years, will be displayed in a purpose-built Barbie Dream House in Melbourne’s Federation Square from June 26.
