Dear Hermes

Please do not produce Bolides in blue (any shades) with contrast stitching so that many bank accounts will be safe.

Is it still true ???

I noticed that the web site says all 90cm scarves are screen printed ...

I so hope that is correct but it seems like many these days are inkjet printed ...

Please tell me that I wrong ..

Dear Hermes,

I am down with the flu. As I wrap several of your pretty scarves around my head to keep warm, I Pondered if I too should blow my weepy nose into one. It gives new meaning to the phrase 'snotty French' does it not?

Dear Madame,
We are so very pleased to hear that our fine silks give you great comfort. Unlike other silk scarves that are pressed flat, our scarves use air-fluffed silk threads and have hand rolled hems for a more cushiony feel to soothe a tender nose. Our 90 cm silk twills, 70 cm vintage silks, and pocket squares are all guaranteed not to cause chafing, dryness and chapping. May I also suggest trying one of our plisse scarves to inconspicuously stop up a weepy nose?

Sincerely,

Dear Hermes,

Please bring back vibrato. I adore it, but was late discovering it (after it was discontinued, alas), and I despair of finding items in the color schemes I like.

Also, please do explain why it is that I continue to buy scarves despite the fact that I very rarely wear them. As others have suggested, is there some type of additive or drug in the silk that might cause this addictive behavior?

Thank you for your kind attention to these matters.

Dear Huge Rhinitis,

Thank you for your reply. You may be pleased to know that I'm almost well recovered. However there seems to be a sticky problem; the silks that were a great source of comfort to my mucous-evacuation last week have gone to the dry cleaners and come back in a dried sticky bunch rather plisse-like. The fibres of my nose hair which were the victims of that mass evacutaion seem now to be permanently twilled into the silks. Just so you know.

Anyway, a hair-less nose is a rather exhale-lirating experience.

Dear Hermes,

Please stop giving my SA two week vacations. It's sooooo annoying! Besides, why anyone would want to be away from an Hermes store for that long is beyond me!!

Dear Hermes,

There's a drought of inventory in stores lately. Thus I'm spending my wad of cash on Durians instead.

Source, Wikipedia:"Widely known and revered in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk."

"British novelist Anthony Burgess writes that eating durian is "like eating sweet raspberry blancmange in the lavatory". Chef Andrew Zimmern compares the taste to "completely rotten, mushy onions."Anthony Bourdain, a lover of durian, relates his encounter with the fruit thus: "Its taste can only be described as...indescribable, something you will either love or despise. ...Your breath will smell as if you'd been French-kissing your dead grandmother". Travel and food writer Richard Sterling says:“ its odor is best described as pig-****, turpentine and onions, garnished with a gym sock."

I eagerly await with bated (bad) breath on more stock arrivals. Hermes stock, I mean.

Yours burp-fully.

Dear Hermes,

Please know who are your real clients/collectors and who are your fake clients (aka. resellers), and stop all those resellers out there selling their Hermes Birkins and Kellys at 3 times your boutique prices. Please open your eyes widely and check out all the resellers websites (especially Asia ones like those online "concierge services" in Singapore, Tao Bao in China, reseller shops in Hong Kong, private websites in Bangkok, Indonesia and Malaysia etc) and guess who are those clients who bought from you and resell immediately!!!! Track them!! Be nice to your REAL CLIENTS and save some bags for them, NOT FAKE RESELLER CLIENTS!!! S'il vous plaît!!!

Respectfully,
Your REAL CLIENT

Dear Hermes-

Please let us buy belt kit buckles without having to buy the leather strap. This rule is particularly frustrating since you can't seem to make enough leather straps these days. I promise to buy one of every buckle.

Thank you.
