I order one in size 30cm since I already have a size 35cm. Do you think the size is small and what do you think of a fuschia croc JPG?? My SA said that a fuschia croc in JPG will be a nice one, a new alternative to the usual birkin. She show me a pic of a lady carrying it. I'll have to say it does looks good on me. What size should I get for the JPG??

IFFAH, I think 30cm would be a very good size for your fuchsia croc Birkin. This size is more handbag-ish & will transit nicely from day to evening. It'll make a stunning evening bag!

From what I know, the JPG Birkin only come in 1 size, which is 42cm... unless Hermes recently come up with new sizes for the JPG Birkin? Did your SA say that it's the 42cm JPG?

I have never seen a JPG Birkin in croc..Even super reseller Createurs Deluxe does not have a single one. It must be very rare.

I am really curious but how many of the PF members are asian?

I have a strong feeling that 80% of the members here are asian.

Maybe i should do a poll... Its just out of curiosity, not for anything else.

She never mention to me about the size. So the size is 42cm. As for a JPG croc is rare......I don't think so. The reason JPG croc bags are not common in sight coz' of the expensive price. My SA showed me a pic of it. If I'm not wrong, during Hermes' spring/summer 2005, there's a model carrying a JPG croc. A JPG croc birkin cost around S$40,000 to S$60,000 plus. I'm about to faint when I heard the price. Moreover, the order caters to certain customers. My SA said I'm one of the lucky customers coz' I'm a regular at hermes' and she could help me to order one. So if I want to order one, I'll have to change my previous order to this one. I'll think about it.

I'm very stressed now between the two designs.

IFFAH, thanks for the info. I'm learning a lot from you! Yeah, I know a JPG Birkin is more expensive than the classic ones. Late last year I was at the Hermes store, a lady was buying a JPG Birkin in Gold Togo. It was S$14,000+! That's like S$3,000 more than a classic Birkin! So I'm not surprise that a croc JPG Birkin cost a bomb

Hmm, sounds like a very difficult decision to decide between the classic and JPG for your fuchsia croc. But if I really have to pick just one, I will pick the classic Birkin as it's more timeless...

Thanks for the pics! I like the lady in the black shirt & jeans in the first pic. She looks really classy & cool. I think she's carrying a black Kelly!

I am not Asian, so that is one down.

But, since I am in the Asian thread I do want to ask a question and I want to preface it with the following...Please no one take any offense if I word something that would in any way offend you.

I was wondering...Asian women spend a lot of money on quality leather goods such as Hermes, but also quality jewelry, clothes, automobiles, fine dining and travel etc. If you don't mind me asking...what do you all do for a living to have such a disposable income?

When I think of Americans there is really only a small percentage of people that truly have wealth. Although the number has risen in the last decade many Americans really are not wealthy to afford the luxuries they have. They either overextend themselves and truly can't afford what they have or they save and save and buy something after they have the savings.

I just wonder if it is the same with the Asian population or if there is so much more wealth and that Asians just have better jobs/income.

I'm not Asian either. Not going to speculate on the income thing but I know so many lovely Asian women with fabulous taste! :)

I adore fuchsia and think it looks best on Chevre, ostrich and croc. YUM!
