Im aware there may be a pre-xmas meet - as I travel to London less often in winter due to the trains becoming totally unreliable in bad weather and my hols abroad escaping our winter lol!! i may not make the pre-xmas meet so I was hoping that some TPF'rs might be interested in fixing up a London meet say march time or could be april???

something where everyone gets an input on the plans as im aware a few people would like this and it gives the meet a more flexible feel maybe if you have commitments/children doing it this way might mean you can fix up a date thats suitable to all.

so what do we think? - pls post below if interested......... thankyou

maybe this might mean some non-uk tpf'rs also get the chance to visit and plan a trip over?? just a thought!

The Cotswold line trains are fine for me in Winter

no problem ardneish! maybe when a date is determined you might make it anyway fingers crossed......... - the line from manchester to london is a nightmare when winter really sets in............

I have no idea what my plans are for April / March next year, but if I am available, I will defo come. H Meets are always such fun!!

Maybe you could plan a meet for sometime this year - Dec or something, pre Christmas Shopping?

id love to suggest a pre xmas meet up but as of yet im away in nov a lot then in dec im only in london for one day getting hair done...... january is impossible within trains - last year i came to london every couple of weeks and jan/feb was a nightmare!! some trips were totally abandoned as i turned up at station and trains were cancelled and other trips I ended up going via nottingham - a nightmare!! when it works well its just 1hr50!

^^ With the trains, it is totally luck of the draw, you could have weeks of perfect timing trains etc, no delays and then out of nowhere - signal failure, leaves on tracks, snow on tracks etc!

A Spring meet will be great!
Although I wont be able to commit to a date yet, but nearer the time, I should be able to work something out.

I can't confirm that far ahead either, as our rotas only stretch a few months ahead and are always being changed and swapped

But it sounds like a good plan in progress... so I'll keep an eye out for a more definitive plan!

yes sammyjoe - you are right, i did have a lot of bad luck last winter within the trains!

so maybe if we make a list of all those interested then in say dec/whenever people can commit to a date we can start discussing dates - I can be very flexible on dates so whatever suits everyone else really.....
