I might be able to come if we meet in Manhattan (I'd be taking the train in from Connecticut) and I'm not out of town. And I'm a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, but if DH goes to NYC with me (we've been talking about doing a shopping trip) maybe I can hand her off to him for a couple of hours. So, like, don't plan around me because I'm full of contingencies, but I would love to meet you all if I can!

Aww, BlueGenes, you're so sweet! I think she's cute, of course, but I'm biased.

So I know I said not to plan this around me...

but I am here the last two weekends of July (the Friday dates are the 18th and 25th). I would REALLY love to come.

would love to meet all you Big Apple Hermes fans! Was planning on coming up from DC for the NYC sale, does anyone know the date or approximate date? Would that be a good time to have a get together?

oh, the sale is in August? Margieb, do you know what will be in the sale (i.e. RTW, scarves, jewelry, etc.?) Trying to decide whether I want to buy in July for a tPF meet or in August.

Usually, there are lots of scarves from previous seasons, some small leather goods (selection varies), lots of RTW and shoes, some home goods, and a few canvas bags. Possibly some jewelry although I'm not sure. If you've got your heart set on something specific, I don't know that I would expect to find it at the sale, but if you're flexible on, say, color, you might be able to get a good deal (typically everything is 40% off).
Also, I might be able to come to a meet... depends on when because I'll be travelling and I don't have my dates worked out, so I will keep checking back here to see what date you ladies choose. Hopefully it will work out and I'll get to meet some of you!
