Default Seller - Won4the$
PLEASE members! DO NOT buy from this seller! I have been in a dispute with him for over four long months now, regarding an eBay purchase - PLEASE do not give him your business!!

Mods, you may want to add this seller to your not recommended list.

Gosh, that's too bad - he has a stellar reputation on the scarf boards, and I had an excellent experience with him as well on eBay. If you had asked, I would have recommended him highly.

Well, I purchased something from him that took 4 MONTHS to arrive, even though I had paid for FAST shipping (he claimed there was no tracking number provided - and that would be because he sent it regular mail), then when I recieved the item (finally!) it was in terrible condition, when the auction had nbeen stated as "MINT". I have had correspondence with him regarding sending the item back to him and obtaining a refund - so I sent it expidited back to Spain, and when it was delivered, he refused to accept it - so it was sent back to me!!

His correspondence has been exceptionally rude and abusive.....I believe, having done some research that I probably should have done prior to the purchase, that I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with him. Flossy and 24 Faubourg I believe have had complications as well (they could clarify this?)....

Anyway, from my experience, he is a terrible seller, and I would not recommend him to anyone!

Thanks for the info on won4the$

I have never purchased from him because his prices are terribly, I do remember that he posts some sort of "guarantee" on his Ebay listings (which would lead me to believe that he walks on water), so good to know , thanks for sharing

FINALLY we have a way of holding these sellers accountable!! Thank you GF, I have been keeping a private list, based on the Ref thread and other posts like yours. Maybe we all should!!

bugger! i won one of his auctions for a rare scarf:

eBay: Hermes Silk Scarf CLERC la poursuite 1958 orig issue (item 140074334655 end time Jan-20-07 06:18:51 PST)

the description is "THERE IS SLIGHT DAMAGE TO THE TIP OF ONE OF THE DOGS TAILS" -- well the bloody thing arrived yesterday with big HOLES there, and also in a section of the scarf that he didn't show.

wish me luck . . . will let you all know how it goes trying to get my money back.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with won4the$, GF. Yes, I did have a less than wonderful experience but I would rather not elaborate on the board for many reasons. Anyone interested can just PM me instead.

Excellent. I've read so many shady stories about him in the past year. It'd be a shame if someone who's just getting into Hermes had a bad experience with him.

I'm glad you did that, jag. And FYI, Flossy also had a bad (very bad) experience but I'll leave it up to her to elaborate, if she wishes. I also know someone else who was continually harassed for months, maybe even years.

^^ Good to know! We are here to do whatever we can to make it safer for our members. So, if you don't feel comfortable posting a story or experience with a particular seller, feel free to PM me your concerns so that we can consider adding those sellers to the Avoid list.
